huh. the area around seems nice since i moved. the trees have grown and the flowers blossomed. the walk to Rizzo's is a short one, the ground warm and my sleeves tucked up.

i'm not really thinking too much of this coffee date. i don't usually, if i like the person i'll be friends yeah but sometimes you just have to go for it and see what happens.

i soon arrive. he's not there even though i'm a little bit late. i walk in and look around. no clear empty tables. huh. until i spot a galaxy backpack i saw on his facebook. there's a large cappuccino waiting on the table so i go and sit and wait for him. i look out the window and the picturesque trees and some of the yellow flowers underneath. the buildings behind add to the scene and i start to wonder why i ever left this place. i see him sit down in front of me and i jump slightly.
"hey! sorry to scare you i was in the bathroom."
"haha don't worry about it!"
awkward silence. no chemistry.
"so uh, what do you think of this place?" he asks while looking around at the lights. "it's nice, this whole neighbourhood has changed a lot too."
"i don't really notice. i've grown up here."
"i wish i did now."
"i wish you did too." i can sense the regret he feels after saying that. i stare at him and don't break my gaze. dan waits eagerly for my response. i smile and say "i misses you, you know."
"i missed you too."
"my life would have been a lot different with you around."
"same, i just had my bratty neighbor as a friend."
"i'm sorry" i say
"huh?"
"i'm sorry for leaving you i- i shouldn't have. i shouldn't have left you with them."
"oh don't worry about them. catherine was there to support me." he says.
"i thought you said she was bratty?"
"she was but she was also all i had, i had to rely on her. but now i'm out of that place." i feel bad now and we share a glance. "i'm back now." i place my hand on his in a comforting gesture but something is slightly romantic. i start to feel chemistry.
