"One must be a little crazy to write a good novel."
-John Gardner
That is so true though. If you're sane and is trying to write a story, you will stuggle.
For instance a lot of people like my 2nd book, "Let Light Shine Your Way".
In it I had the father abuse his daughter physically and sexually.
YES, I KNOW ITS SICK!!!!
NO, I DO NOT APROVE OF IT!!!
Just because I, or you, write something sick like that. . . . . . DOES NOT MEAN I, OR YOU, LIKE IT OR APROVE OF IT!
For fucks sake, I wrote a whole book about a girl being raped. I felt horrible for doing it, but I did it anyway.
Why?
Because I wanted to write something different!
Every time I read a book where the girl in my fandom is having daddy issues, it either physical, mental, or emotional abuse.
So I said fuck it, and wrote a book where she was sexually abused.
But don't worry, she kicks his ass in the end.
But you know what?
No one was mad that I wrote that.
No one complained, or asked what was wrong with me.
Because deep down we're all crazy.
So don't be afraid to get a little nuts.
