The Masked Man in a Dream

When I woke up, I became very frightened as I realized that I was not in my room. I grabbed the candle that was beside the bed and began to explore.

As I cautiously walked out of the room, I saw a strange man sitting in the middle of another room. He was too busy playing the piano to notice me.

I could hear my voice tremble with fear as I ask the man, "Hello? Who are you? Where am I..." I waited nervously for a response, but the room was silent.

Before I could speak again, he stood up. I was too afraid to scream for help. As he slowly turned to face me, I saw that he wore a white mask on the right side of his face.

"What is your name, Sir? Where are we? Why have you taken me..." I asked, even though I didn't really want to hear the answer.

As he began to walk towards me, I looked at the water. I was about to jump into the water, when I felt his hand latch onto my arm. I turned to face him and I could hear my heart pounding inside my chest.

The man began to speak to me in a low and deep voice, "Elizabeth, I am..."
