??? POV

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm. I groan and sit up in bed. I look over at my blaring alarm clock that read '6:00am' and hit the snooze button. I rub the tiredness from my eyes, throw the covers off of me, then get out of bed. I grab grey t-shirt that has black sleeves and some jeans then head to the bathroom.

I hop in the shower and take care of what I need to do. I get out and quickly get dressed. I looked in the mirror and comb my dirty blonde hair. I brush my teeth then head back to my room.

Today was my first day at this new school. My family moved about a week ago but gave me time to settle in before throwing me into the hell known as highschool. I but on my shoes and go through my backpack to make sure I had everything.

"Aaron! Get down hear so you can eat before you leave!" I hear my mom shout from down stairs.

"Ok I'm coming!" I quickly make my way downstairs to see my mom and dad sitting at the table.

"Morning Aaron," my dad says looking up at me.

"Morning dad." I head to the kitchen and get the things I need for cereal. I hurry and power the cereal and milk in my bowl and sit down at the table.

"You need to hurry and eat. You need to be at the bus stop in ten minutes." My mom says. I nod and start wolfing down my cereal.

I finish and put my bowl in the sink. Then I quickly run up stairs, grab my backpack, and run out the door.
====================================

The bus ride was uneventful. I sat by this kid named Luca and he said he could show me around campus, which I was great full for. We pull up to the school and Luca lead me to the office so I could get my schedule, and a paper that had my locker number and combination.

I quickly get to my locker with the help of my new friend and put my things away.

"What's your first class?" Luca asked. I look at my schedule.

"Math with Miss Ruben, room eighteen." I say.

"Cool I have biology with Mrs. Jumin, which is right down the hall from Miss Ruben's room."

"Awesome!"

"Yeah let's start heading there now. Their class rooms are across the school." I nod and follow him.

While we were walking down the main hallway, I noticed a girl with black hair that went to the center of her back. From what I could tell, she was wearing a dark purple jacket that was zipped up, ripped jeans, and boots that went up to her knees. She kept her head down so I didn't really get a look at her face. I also noticed, just barley, that she was limping. If you weren't really looking, you would've missed it.

I stop walking and nudge Luca. I motion towards the girl,"who's that?"

"Her? Oh, that's Zoey. She's in some of my classes, very quiet, doesn't like attention drawn to her."

"I see."

She looked up and her eyes met mine. She stopped dead in her tracks and just stared into my eyes. Her eyes were a beutiful grey, almost like a storm cloud. One thing I didn't like, was how sad her eyes looked. She looked broken. I smiled at her, but she looked back at the ground and continued on her way.

"Dude, what was that?"

"I honestly have no idea."

All I know is that I have this want to protect her, to fix her.
