Chaper 2: The Feast and the Sorting

I followed Hermione,Harry and Ron over to where the giant man was. "Hagrid this is our friend Brianna." Hermione said introducing me to him. "Brianna this is the gamekeeper and our friend Hagrid." "Ello Brianna it's nice to meet you." The giant Hagrid said shaking my hand. "You too." I replied quietly. "All firs years in the boats and only 4 in a boat." Hagrid announced loudly. I followed Hermione,Ron and Harry to a boat and carefully got into it. The next thing I knew was the boat was moving carefuly in the water. I Looked ahead and saw an outline of a huge castle. "There's Hogwarts." Hermione exclaimed  pointing to the castle. The boat stopped at the edge of the castle where a woman in a green set of robes was standing waiting for us. "Hello Professor McGonagall here are all the firs years ready to be sorted." Hagrid said smiling at her. Professor McGonagall to my surprise returned the smile and cleared her throat loudly saying "All first years please follow me." I carefully got out of the boat and followed everyone inside. I gasped loudly of what I saw. The entrance hall was huge. There were pictures of people on the wall and a set of satircases going everywhich way. "Come on Brianna!" Hermione said grabbing my hand. I followed her into a huge room were tables were all set up, There were students already sitting at the tables. In the front of the room,there was a long table full of teachers. In the middle sat an older looking teacher. He had a long white beard, blue eyes, glasses perched on his crooked nose and a set of blue robes with a hat to match. 'That's Professor Dumbledore." Hermione told me. "He is the headmaster of Hogwarts." "Wow." I exclaimed. Professer McGonagall lead us to the front of the room where a stool and a frayed looking hat sat in front of the teachers table. She stopped right in front of the stool and pulled out a scroll from her robes. "When I call your name come up here to be sorted." She said. "Abott, Hannah" She called loudly. A girl with blonde pigtails walked up looking nervous. Proffessor McGonagall placed the hat on her head, I saw the rim of the hat open and it said"Hufflepuff."  The sorting went on and on. Malfoy was put in Slytherin along with Crabbe and Goyle. Hermione was sorted into Gryffindor along with Harry, Next thing I knew it was my turn. "Smith, Brianna." Proffessor McGonagall called. I walked up there really slow. I sat on the stool and felt the hat being placed on my head. "Hmm,.let's see you would be good in Slytherin but since your parents were in Gryffindor I'll say GRYFFINDOR!!. I slowly got off the stool and walked over to where Hermione was sitting. Harry and Ron were both sorted into Gryffindor. Proffessor Dumbledore got up and said a few words. "Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts. Before we start the feast I would like to say a few words. And they are: Nitwit!, Blubber! Oddment and Tweak! Let the feast begin." I looked down at thew table and saw a bunch of food appear. "Brianna this is my brothers Fred, George and Percy." Ron told me. "Its nice to meet you." They all said together. "It's nice to meet you too." I replied back. I put some food on my plate and started to eat. The food was so delicious. "Here try some pumpkin juice." Hermione said handing me a glass full of what looked like orange juice. I took the glass and tasted it. It was so good. Proffessor Dumbledore got up and clapped his hands together. "Now that the feast is over let's all get to bed and start a new day here. Prefects lead your students to your house." I saw all the prefects get up followed by students. I got up and followed Percy out of the the Great Hall. He lead us up stairs and through a door. "Be careful the stairs tend to move on you if you arent careful." He told us. The portraits on the walls moved and talked to you. We followed Percy until we ended up in front of a picture of a fat lady in a pink dress. "Password?" She asked almost singing it. "Caput Draconis." Percy said. The portait opened and we all stepped in. We entered into a lounge. There were several couches and armchairs sitting in front of a huge stone fireplace. "Girls dormitory is to the left and the boys is to the right." Percy said pointing to two different doors on the walls. I followed Hermione through the door and up the stairs. At the top of the stairs there were doors all over the wall. "We have our own bedroom and bathroom!" Hermione exclaimed. Hermione went over to a door on the right. "It has our names on the door so we know which room is ours." She said excitedlly. I saw my name on the door next to hers. I walked over and opened the door. I heard myself gasp loudly. In my room was a four poster bed, a vanity and a dresser for my clothes, I saw a door that I assumed was the bathroom. I opened it up and saw a garden tub, a walk in shower, a huge sink and a toliet in a room by its self. It was so cool. I walked out and closed the door behind me. I decided to get ready for bed. I put my clothes in the dresser, put my tolletris in the bathroom and put Zuric's cage on the table besdie my bed. I changed into my pajamas, brushed my teeth and face and got into bed. I fell asleep once my head hit the pillow.
