Later That Day...
October - Red Gulf Pack
Alpha Amir's House
*Marcus POV*
The flight was smooth and we arrived on time. It felt really good being out on my own. Even though I had Jesse and Linux with me, it was the first time I didn't have my dad or his guards escorting me every where I went. Walking with my Beta and Delta I was getting a taste of being Alpha.
Headed to baggage claim Jesse told me he got Amina a gift card to Borders for her birthday. I remembered that I told him she really liked to read but that was mad long ago. I was surprised he remembered. My thoughts were cut off when Linux made a move in front of me. It was a standard tactic to be ready to protect if you weren't sure if our greeter was friend or foe.
"Prince Marcel Marcus Blaine of the Red Gulf Pack, welcome to Tennessee. I am Beta Darryl of the Green Fields Pack." We were greeted by a large lupine once we reached baggage claim. If it wasn't for the detailed description Amina gave me and the research I had already done on the Green Fields Pack I wouldn't have went anywhere near this guy. Just looking at him still had me wary.
"Thank you Beta Darryl. These are my best friends Jesse and Linux." I replied stepping forward to shake his hand. "Amina made sure I would know who you were. Now I understand why." Beta Darryl stood a good two feet and a half over me. Not only was he tall but his build seem to block the sun, the man was a beast.
Giving them a nod while shaking their hands I could tell he knew what Jesse and Linux really were to me. Standing in the traditional position Beta at my right one step back and Delta on my left two steps back. Thankfully Beta Darryl knew not to say anything aloud. I figured my dad understood the positions I put my friends in as my second and third but we never actually said the words. It would be like me challenging him for his position as Alpha and I wasn't trying to do that. It would be a disaster if I were to enter another territory and introduce them by these titles before I officially announced them to my dad.
"Very good, our Princess Amina is always on top of things." He chuckled leading us to where our bags waited.
Once all our bags were collected, we headed outside to passenger pick-up. There were three large SUV's and five lupines of the Enforcer Squad in uniform. They collected our things greeting me by title and welcomed us to their territory. We climbed into the middle vehicle and made our way to the Alpha's home. Sitting in the middle in the back I relaxed and enjoyed the scenery. Tennessee was a darker green than our lands. I was pleasantly surprised to feel a calm come over me that I hadn't felt anywhere but home. My wolf wasn't leery and agitated like he usually is when I entered a territory not belonging to my pack. We arrived at Alpha Amir house around two hours later.
"Welcome Prince Marcus, gentlemen!" Alpha Amir shouted as he walked outside to meet us.
"Thank you for having us Alpha Amir. You remember my best friends Jesse and Linux." I said shaking his hand in greeting.
"Yes of course, Amina will be so happy you're here. Come in and I will introduce you to everyone else." He said as we followed him inside.
There stood a small staff of three he probably called in since we were staying at his house. I already knew they never used them unless they had guests over. Amina would never use them and didn't mind taking care of her father when it was warranted. As the staff was made aware to take care of anything we needed two female lupines joined us from the hall.
"Prince Marcus this is Suzann Sheila Baker and her daughter Susan Ashley Baker. Ladies this is Prince Marcel Marcus Blaine of the Red Gulf Pack and his friends Samuel Jesse Finders and Caleb Linux Hollister." Alpha Amir said as the ladies shook our hands.
