Tessa's POV
I sat under a tree, strumming my ukulele. The sound calmed me down and I started to sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
"Somewhere over the rainbow
Blue birds fly
And the dreams that you dreamed of
Dreams really do come true ooh oh"
I felt small drops of water hit my shoulder and then it started to pour down. The rain hit my fingers as I sang as loud as I could knowing no one was around. I was soaking wet but this had been the most exhilarating moment.
I was out of breath, panting afterwards. I had my phone in my pocket and started playing music. I danced along with it even though I had no ability to dance whatsoever.
"Wow you sure can dance." I stopped and turned around to see Liam standing by me. He was also drenched and you could see his abs through his shirt. I gulped, just staring at him. He came over and grabbed my phone to change the song. He put on Your Song by Elton John.
He started to mouth the words and grabbed my arms to dance with me. I never took any classes so I kept stepping on his feet. We were laughing so hard and singing really loud.
"And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done.
I hope you don't mind,
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world"
He spun me around in a circle and the rain kept on pouring down. I felt like the song was going on forever, and I wanted it to.
"Tessa come inside!" I heard my mom call out. She couldn't see me and that was good because she would flip out if she saw Liam this close to me.
"I have to go." I whispered, barely audible because of the rain.
"Tess, I want to do something."
"What?"
"I want to-"
"Tessa Green!" My mom sounded really angry so I grabbed my phone and ran to my house.
Jessica's POV
When I got out of the car I slammed the door shut. I head to my room and open up my laptop to watch Netflix. My hair is still wet and I can feel the cold water dripping down my back. I hear my mom yelling my name from downstairs, so I shut my laptop.
"WHAT?" I yell from my room
"THE GREENS ARE COMING OVER FOR DINNER, GET READY!"
"OKAY!" I yell back. I put on a flannel and a black crop top along with some ripped jeans. I put on my black beanie to help with my wet and tangled hair. I head downstairs and help my mom set the table. I hear a knock at the door and head to the door, when I open it I see Tess along with her family. They come in and my mom greets them, while I stay quite.
"Jess, go start getting the food" my mom says. I head to the kitchen and start getting all the food my mom made. I place it on the table while everyone sits down. The only seat left is beside Tess, so I sit down. Liam eyed me down from across the table and I rolled my eyes.
Once we finish eating I head upstairs.
"Jess, why don't you bring Tessa up with you" My mom says.
"Oh, it's okay, she doesn't have to" Tess says.
