Tessa's POV

I glanced up from my computer to find my brothers, Adam and Alan, smiling at me. They were twins who went to the University of Florida. Honestly, they weren't the brightest but I loved them so much and they loved me equally.

I ran towards them with my arms wide.

"If you don't mind me asking, why are you guys here?"

"We have a long weekend." Adam replied.

"Oh, how's football going Alan?"

"Pretty good, NFL scouts have been watching me." His face lit up.

"Adam, how's partying?"

"Hey! I don't party all the time. But the girls sure are nice." I shook my head. They sat on my bench seat and looked out the window facing Jessica's house.

"Who is this shirtless guy staring back at us?" Alan said.

"Your reflection?" I joked in return.

"Ha funny," He said sarcastically, "but there is some guy just staring at me and I am getting creeped out."

I made my way in between them and saw Liam looking at us. He slowly waved with a small smile on his face. Adam opened the window and stuck his head out. Liam did the same seeming a little nervous.

"Why are you staring at me?" Adam yelled.

"Because you were staring at me!" Liam replied.

"Tess who is this creep?" Adam snapped.

"His name is Liam and he is nice so leave him alone." My brothers looked at me as though I had told them something horrible and they slammed the window shut. My brothers have always been protective of me, especially when it came to boys.

Jessica's POV

I hear Liam yelling from his room, but I just ignore him. I look in the mirror, my black eye is getting worse. My sister was downstairs, she said she was studying but I doubt she is doing that. I was super surprised when she got into the University of Florida. All she did in high school was drag me along to parties and made me drive her home when she got too drunk.

It's late, almost two in the morning, and I still can't sleep. A million thoughts run through my mind. I hear people talking outside, so I go to the window. I look out at see two boys, they look about the same age as my sister. I go back to bed and pull the covers up to my face.

I wake up to the sound of birds chirping, I throw the pillow at the window. I look at the clock and see that I have to head to the tattoo shop. I get out of bed and throw on some skinny jeans along with a dark green yezzy shirt. I head downstairs and grap my keys from off the table. I hop onto my motorcycle and start driving. When I get there I sign a few papers, then I'm taken to a chair.

"First tattoo?" The person tattooing me asks

"Yup"

"What do you wanna get?" She asks me

"Can I get a wave, just behind my ear"

"I got you" She says. I hear the gun turn on, then I feel the needle hit my skin behind my ear. It hurts a little, but I get used to it quickly. It goes by faster then I thought it would, I sit up and look at it.

I open the door to my house and drop my keys on the dinning room table. I pull my hair up in a ponytail and walk into the kitchen. I open the fridge and open a coke, then I feel a tap on my shoulder.

"What the heck is behind your ear?" Liam says.

"Nothing" I say closing the fridge door

"It doesn't look like nothing" He says

"It's a tattoo! Happy now!?" I yell

"Why would you do that?!!?"

"Leave me alone!"

"YOU'RE TURNING OUT JUST LIKE LINDSEY!"

"FUCK YOU!" I yell before leaving the kitchen.

Tessa's POV

The next morning, I followed my brothers down the stairs, right behind their heels. They were whispering things to each other so that I wouldn't be able to hear them.

"Where are you guys going?" I whimpered.

"We are not going to tell you because you won't let us go there." Alan said.

"Then why are you going there in the first place!"

Adam shook his head and grabbed my wrist pulling me close to them so I would hurry up. I yelped not ready to feel his strong grip.

"You need to toughen up Tess." I pushed my glasses closer to my face with my other hand and pretended to ignore what they said.

Adam opened the front door, dragging me beside him and Alan followed closely. I honestly did not know where we were going until they turned in the direction of Liam's house. I tried to pull my wrist free but of course I couldn't with my stick arms.

"Adam, why are you taking me here!"

"We want to get to know your boyfriend." They said at the same time.

"Liam? He isn't my boyfriend."

"Hm, okay. I think you're lying." They walked up the front porch and ran the doorbell. Liam opened the door in his pjs, no shirt and lounge pants.

"Oh it's you guys." He smiled at us.

"Oh it's Tess's boyfriend."

"Boyfriend?" He looked at me with a smile and laughed a little.

"I never-"

"Tess shut up." Alan snapped.

Liam looked at Alan and you could see his fist clenching from a mile away. He looked really pissed for some reason and I honestly wanted to leave right then.

"I don't like you Liam and I know Adam doesn't either. Our sister means the world to us and we don't want guys like you messing things up for her future."

"Guys like me? You're the one who acts all high and mighty. Maybe you should get your head out of your ass for a minute."

"You're never going to speak or look at him again, got it?" Adam said and he put me on his back. I looked back at Liam while my brothers and I walked away, and he almost seemed sad.
