Natasha's POV:

I could hardly sleep as I thought about my lunch with Steve tomorrow. I was really happy he truly was sorry and wanted to talk to me again. Staring up at the ceiling, I sighed, realizing I wasn't going to get a wink of sleep if I kept thinking about it. So I tried to forget it, but no matter what I did, it just kept crawling back into my mind. You're having lunch with Steve tomorrow. The man you love. I tried to shake the thought but I just couldn't. It was 3:00 A.M. in the morning and I hadn't slept a wink. I needed sleep because I didn't want to look like a zombie for Steve tomorrow. I finally fell asleep out of sheer tiredness a couple minutes later, and the first thing I rested my eyes on was the clock when I woke up. 10:30 A.M. Wow I slept in late. Getting up slowly, rubbing my eyes to help me adjust to the light in my room, I got dressed for the day. I put on a simple sleeveless black undershirt and tight black pants. Then I got my gray zip-up hoodie and put that on, and put on my shoes. I washed my face and fixed my hair in the mirror. I'm ready. Now the only thing I needed to wait on was for time to pass. 12:00 P.M. couldn't come soon enough.

Steve's POV:

I am the luckiest guy on the face of the earth. I needed to realize that I had a date with Natasha freaking Romanoff tomorrow. The hottest, baddest woman ever. I was beyond lucky. There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how perfect she is and how much I love her. I was so thankful she accepted my apology. Going to my room, I lied down on my bed smiling broadly. As I pulled the covers over me and closed my eyes, I dreamt about the beauty I was going to see tomorrow. Wait, beauty isn't strong enough. More like... goddess. That was it. She was a goddess, there was just no other way to put it. I fell asleep quickly with a smile still on my face. When I woke up the next morning, first thing I checked was the clock, because I was meeting her at noon and did not want to be late. 9:00 A.M. I got plenty of time to make myself look as good as possible for her. I figured she wasn't going to dress up, but I had to wear something extra for her. I combed my hair till I thought it looked perfect, then shaved and brushed my teeth. I put on a pair of khakis and a black belt, then my tight white muscle shirt and my black polo shirt. I'm ready. Now all I needed was noon to come.

Natasha's POV:

It took 15 minutes to get to the burger joint, and so when 11:45 A.M. came I smiled and turned on my sleek black Corvette Stingray and got in. I heard the engine roar to life as I drove off to see my date. I arrived 2 minutes early thanks to the speed of the Corvette and my eager driving. As I walked in and looked around, I saw Steve looking very handsome waiting at a table. He hadn't saw me yet as he turned his back to me. I walked over smiling, and then tapped him gently on the shoulder, seeing him jump up and quickly turn around, and then gasp in shock.

Steve's POV:

When I felt the hand on my shoulder I prayed with everything in me that it was Natasha. I jumped and whipped around, staring into her beautiful green eyes. I gasped in excitement, "Natasha! You're here!"
She was smiling, looking into my blue eyes. "Yes I'm here, you ready to go order?"
I immediately answered, "Of course Nat. Let's go." I took her hand gently and led her to the place to order. The food smelled delicious. I let her order first and then I ordered. Afterwards I held her hand back to the table and we sat down as we waited for our food. I got lost in perfect beauty and charming eyes, and said staring, "You look absolutely perfect today. Just like you always do."

Natasha's POV:

I could tell Steve was in love with me. From the  moment he held my hand to now with him just staring at me, I knew he loved everything about me. And it made me feel so good knowing someone cared that much about me. I smiled softly at his compliment, "Thank you Steve. You look very handsome yourself."
His eyes lit up as he heard my remark, "Thanks but nothing compared to you."
I held the smile. "So, what did you want to talk about here?"
Steve looked me in the eyes. "To reemphasize how sorry I am for not staying in touch and wanting to show how much I love you. And to tell the truth, I want to marry you one day. I really do."
He said this with such sincerity I had to believe him, but I was shocked. Steve wants to marry me? I couldn't believe the words that came out of his mouth. Obviously it was too early, but farther down the line that was a possibility. "Well Steve I truly appreciate that. And apology has already been accepted."
He smiled, "I'm just telling the truth. I'm definitely not one to rush things but I want it to be a big possibility down the road."
I nodded, "I agree Steve. I love you."
He smiled even broader. "I love you too, Natasha."
I smiled back as the waiter came by with our food, breaking our happy moment together. But I was starving so I couldn't be too mad. I ate quickly and noticed Steve did the same, evidently he was hungry too.

Steve's POV:

I downed my food as fast as possible because I needed to show Natasha how much I loved her. I hoped it wouldn't be too awkward for her. Once I finished I glanced up at her and said, "Wow that was good. Those burgers are great."
She nodded, "Definitely. Mine was delicious."
I saw her glance at her phone and then quickly put it back in her pocket. She looked back at me. "Steve I'm really sorry but I need to get going. Thanks for the lunch it was amazing, and I'm glad we're both back on the right track."
I groaned inside hearing her say she had to go, but I couldn't be a jerk. "It's okay Natasha, I understand. I'm glad you enjoyed the lunch, you deserved it. There's just one thing I'd like to do to show you how much I love you before you go."
She raised an eyebrow. "And what might that be?"
I got up out of my seat and saw her get up as well. I went over to her and gently put my hands on her waist as I stared into her beautiful eyes again, oh how I loved them. She looked up at me with a look of expectance or maybe nervousness. I hoped this wasn't too awkward. I said softly, "Natasha, I love you more than anyone else. Accept this as a display of my love."
She looked up at me and replied, "Okay Steve. What is it?"
I kept my hands on her waist as I leaned in and pressed my hard lips against her soft ones. She placed her hands on my neck and kissed back, and I felt so relieved. This moment reminded me of when we kissed to escape from Brock, and that felt like it was partly need to help us escape, not really out of true love. But this, this was a true love kiss. And I wanted the moment to last forever. Eventually she broke the kiss and put a finger to my lips. "You're cute Rogers, but I must be going. Bye."
I got upset inside that she had to go, but didn't show it. "Bye Romanoff. I'll always remember this moment."
She smiled as she left, "So will I, Steve."
I smiled back and finished, "I hope the first of many great moments to come."
