"Not As Awesome As You"

Mathew sighed as he sat through the world meeting.He was barely paying attention to the other nations.He didn't really need to pay attention since he knew no one would ask for his opinion.No one ever asked for his opinion,no one even talked to him.He was basically invisible to the rest of them.Even to his own brother,who he was always mistaken for.

The meeting ended quite quickly due to his lack of paying attention.He watched as everyone got up and walked out until he was the only one left.He didn't really feel like getting up,he was too tired and depressed to move.Everything was silent for a while until he heard a familiar soft voice.

"Who are you?",the small white bear on his lap lifted it's head to look at him.

Mathew sighed and tears stung in his eyes,"I'm Canada...your owner...."

The bear looked away again,not showing any interest in why he had tears in his eyes.Mathew noticed this and it made him feel even worse.His own bear didn't even care about him.

Mathew leaned his head down to hide his face in the bear's back as he sobbed.He didn't care if anyone heard him,since they probably wouldn't even notice.

"'Vhy are you crying?",a raspy,slightly loud voice asked.

Mathew looked in the direction of the voice and saw a familiar Prussian man standing next to him.He blushed slightly as he quickly wiped the tears off his face,embarrassed that he had been caught crying.

'He probably thinks I'm pathetic..',Mathew thought as he shook his head and looked away from the tall man.

"Come on,tell me 'vhat's wrong.I know you 'vant to!",Gilbert grinned at the Canadian.

After another small moment of silence,Mathew decided to speak,"It doesn't really matter..If I tell you,it still won't change anything.Plus,you probably won't remember what I said or even who I am tomorrow."

Gilbert raised an eyebrow slightly,tilting his head,"Let me guess.Is it because everyone always mistakes you for your brother?"

Mathew was shocked at first but refused to look at Gilbert,"That's part of the reason..."

Gilbert sat in the chair next to Mathew.

"I always notice you sitting in your usual spot at every meeting.No one ever talks to or even looks at you.I sometimes have the urge to talk to you since you look so sad and lonely",Gilbert almost laughed at his last comment,but not in a mean way.

Mathew winced at the Prussian's words,"Please don't pity me..You'll never be able to truly understand how I feel anyway.You're the great Kingdom of Prussia.Strong and powerful,no one has ever forgotten who you are.You're everything I'm not.And no matter what I do or how hard I try,I'll never be as awesome as you."

Gilbert stared at Mathew in shock.The Canadian looked like he was about to break down and turn into a sobbing mess.No one has ever,not even once,called him "awesome",besides himself.He bit his lip to keep from frowning.

"I'd love to be able to say that 'vhat you just said about me is true but...the truth is,you're wrong.I may act strong and call myself awesome all the time,but that's because I think I'm the opposite.And no one has ever called me awesome until now.But the truth is,you're the awesome one.No one has ever thought lowly of you.Everyone thinks of you as a beautiful,peaceful nation.I'm the one who's not as awesome as you",Gilbert looked down at the floor as he spoke.

Mathew's eyes widened and he turned to look at Gilbert,"P-Prussia...I-"

"Call me Gilbert.."

Mathew froze for a second then continued to speak,"Gilbert...I never knew you thought of me that way...."

Gilbert smiled and looked at Mathew,"I know.I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner..."

Mathew smiled back at Gilbert,"U-Uh..can I tell you s-something,Gilbert....?"

Gilbert nodded in response which made Mathew bite his lip and look away.

"I-I...I-lo-.....",Mathew looked down in shame.Of course he still couldn't admit his true feelings to the Prussian man.

Gilbert realized what Mathew was gonna say so he leaned forward and used his hand to gently turn Mathew's face towards him.Mathew blushed and stared into Gilbert's eyes.Their noses were touching and they could feel each others breath on their lips.Gilbert smirked slightly and closed the distance in between them.

Mathew blushed even more and stiffened for a moment but soon melted into the kiss.Gilbert's lips were so soft and warm.Nothing else mattered to him right now besides Gilbert.Gilbert snuck his tongue into Mathew's mouth and their tongue fought for dominance.Gilbert won,of course, and explored Canadian's mouth.Mathew wrapped his arms around the Prussian's neck and held back a groan.

The two continued until their lungs felt like they were about to burst into flames.Mathew gasped for hair and looked away,still very flustered.

Gilbert looked at Mathew and smiled,"I love you."

Mathew looked at Gilbert and smiled,tears forming in his eyes,"I love you too!"

Mathew leaned forward quickly and threw his arms around Gilbert and held onto him tightly,afraid of losing Gilbert,afraid of Gilbert forgetting him.

Gilbert closed his eyes and wrapped his arms comfortingly around Mathew,"Don't worry,Mathew.I'll never leave you..."

{A/N:So many feels aaaaahh!I hope you all liked it!I might do a part two if this gets a lot of views.There just isn't enough stories for these two cuties!!Anyways,I'll probably publish another story tonight since this one is long overdue.
