It was moving day, Amaiya and her mother weren't going to bring much with them. They each had three large suitcases and one carry-on. Whatever they could fit into their suitcases was what they got to bring with them. Everything else was left behind ready to be forgotten.

Amaiya shoved all her clothes, beauty protects, and jewelry into two suitcases. The last suitcase  she filled with her art supplies, books, and other random things. It was going to be a long flight from Utah to Arizona. So, in her carry-on she brought things to keep her busy. She also brought all her electronics and chargers in her carry-on, which wasn't much. Her mother promised to get her a apple phone after her third week of work.

They sold their car a week ago. Hoping to buy a nicer car in Arizona. Their old car was broken down anyways, in the shop every once a month. They were glad to see it be sold. Especially for a good amount of money.

It was finally time to leave their house. Time to start their first chapter of their new story. They grabbed their bags and set them on the front porch. A tear dripped from Amaiya's eye. Her mothers also. You never realize what something means to you until it's gone. All her memories with her father kept place in their now 'old' house, but it felt like their only house.

Amaiya and her mother hugged on the front porch with small tears dripping down their faces.

Amaiya started sobbing, "I didn't think I was going to cry. I didn't realize how much this place meant to me. Dad..."
"...Dad will always be with us. He's smiling down on us right now. He knows what's best for us, and so do you. Why don't you go take some pictures of the place, for memories, okay? I'll wait out here for the uber and call you when it's here." She interrupted.

Amaiya's mother handed her phone to her and smiled. Amaiya smiled back and went inside to take pictures of the house. She didn't know how to express her feelings or how she felt. She took pictures of the house. A few minutes later she heard her name being called outside.

She sighed and hugged the wall good-bye, leaving tears on the wall. She slowly walked to the front door and hugged her mother. They stood looking at the house while the uber driver packed their bags in the car. They finally got in the car.

The wheels of the car started moving, there was no turning back anymore. Amaiya watched out the window at her old town. Everything going as if in slow motion. Her stomach with butterfly's not knowing what was coming ahead of her.
