Harada's POV
I couldn't move. My mind was trying to process what it had just hear. She's dying. Souji looks at her and then at me. She doesn't even notice that am standing few feet away of them. My feet move on their own towards them but I stop them, when I see Souji signaling me not to get closer.

I see them both go inside the house, but I don't move. So many emotions run inside of me. Confusion, anger, pain. I blinked trying get a hold on my self, but in the end only tears fall to make room for more. Then Chizuru's words play in my head again.

"Fine then let's just say she's dying. Are you really just going to waste your time with her?" "She knew all along!" My hands go to my head and pull on my hair. I want to scream but instead I fall again on my knees. Was this how life was going to punish me?

I covered my face and cried.  "Why her!? Why?!" I said between sobs. "That's the same question I've asked my self." I look up and see Souji standing in front of me. He doesn't look at, instead his focus is on the night sky.

"I know you have some questions, but I can't answer them all. But let's not talk out here. Let's go inside just in case she needs something." I stood up, but hesitate to follow him. Souji turned around and looked at me. "She's in her room. We will talk in the kitchen. "

He continued to walk and I followed him. Once inside he made sure Sayuri wasn't in the kitchen we both went in to the kitchen. "What's wrong with her?" I didn't waist any time and asked him. He sat down on a chair.

"She has a tumor." He said with out looking at me. "But there has to be so thing the doctor can do about it." "No. There is nothing they can do. It's in an area to difficult to do surgery at. And it's grown some what and it's made it more impossible." All hope inside of me gone now.

Neither of us spoke. Tears ran down both our faces. "How long?" Souji let a sob escape his lips. And cried harder. "Not much. Any day now." My heart stopped. I leaned to a wall and fell to the floor. I felt as if my heart was being torn out of my chest.

"That's why she agreed to divorce you. That's why she gave up on you, so you could be happy with Chizuru." I looked up and saw Souji looking at me with anger and pain. I couldn't say anything.  What was I suppose to say? "But with all that happening, your always been the one in her mind and heart."

He wiped the tears off his face, but more still ran down. "That's why she did that request to you. So she could at least see you till the end. Even...even if meant that in the end she would never see you again. Your happiness was always before her."

Sobs came out of my mouth. Instead of being by her side I pushed her away. I hurt her in so many ways and now this. This has to be a punishment for all the wrong I did to her. But why is she paying the price instead of me. I looked at him and he was still crying also. "I need to talk to her."

Standing up I made my way to the stairs. In seconds Souji had me by my arm. "No! She can't know that your here and know about it." "Let go. I have to talk to her." I tried pushing him away but he wouldn't move. Souji then grabbed me by the front of my shirt, now face to face. "Souji let me go! I have to see her! Don't you see this is killing me too!"

"It's killing me also! Am losing her for the second time! Even when she know how much I love her, she still loves you! It's always been you Harada!" He pushed me away. "Its always been you. And will always be you until her last breath." He sat down on the last step of the stairs case.

"If you go up there and tell her that you know everything, she will think you petty her. And it will be harder for her to let you go." I looked up the stairs to where her closed door is at. "She's scared. She's been trying to be so strong in front of others but in reality she is terrified." Souji kept on talking as if he was talking to himself.

"I love her. And am going to lose her." Souji didn't say anything he just nodded. Beside the stairs there was a table with a picture of Sayuri and me at our wedding. I moved towards it and grabbed it. "She always hugs that picture after seeing you." I caress the glass over her face.

Memories of that day, the day of our wedding. How beautiful she looked in the dress. And that smile, smile she had on all night and the days after that. And then the memory of the day that I told her about the divorce. The small smile that she still had in her lips to cover the pain she was feeling.

My thoughts and Souji's were interrupted by a crash of something falling on the ground in Sayuri's room. We both looked at each other then up the stairs and ran towards the room. When Souji opened the room, I couldn't belive what I was seeing.

Souji'sPOV
When I opened the door, Sayuri was on the floor having a seizure and blood was coming out of her nose. Her eyes were going back to her head as her body jerked around. I ran to her side and so did Harada. "What's happening to her?!" I put her head on top of my lap.

"She's having seizures. But they are getting worse." I wiped the blood off her nose but more came out. He granted her hand. Tears ran down the side of her head, and her hands were in fists. Harada wiped the tears and holder her hand tighter. She was in pain. "Sayuri am here, ok. It's going to pass soon just hang in there." I said.

Slowly her body stopped moving. Her breathing was rapid and she was sweating. "It's ok it's ok...it's almost over." I looked over at Harada. Pain and fear where visible in his face. "Here put her head on your lap. I need to get her a medication so the pain and the seizures go away."

Carefully, I lifted her head and Harada moved over to my spot and put her head on his lap. I was about to stand up when another seizure came and more blood came out of her nose. "This is not good. I need to call Sannan. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed Sannan.

He answer and I was about to respond when a bloody screams came from Sayuri and her whole body stopped moving. "Sayuri! Sayuri wake up! What's wrong with her?!" Harada trying waking her up. My heart also stopped at the sight of her like this.

"Hello!? Souji?! What's going on?! Souji!?" Finally getting a hold of myself I answer to Sannan and told him what was going on. "Sayuri please wake up. Open your eyes, please don't leave me." Harada tried to wake her up but she wouldn't move.

I put my figures on her wrist and felt her fainted pulse. "We need to get her to the hospital! Sannan her pulse is very weak!" "Bring her in as soon as possible." Harada picked her up in his arms made his way down stairs. I followed him and ran past him to open the car door.

"I'll go with her on the back you drive." I said going inside first and receiving Sayuri in my arms. Harada closed the door and got in the driver seat. He turn on the engine and pull out of the parking space. "To the hospital where Sannan works at." He stepped on the gas paddle going past speed limit.

I carefully moved Sayuri's hair away from her face. "Sayuri please wake up. Please.  Am not ready to let you go." I grabbed her hand and pulled it towards my face. I kissed it and tears once again ran down my face. "Please. I promise I will do what ever you want, just wake up. I need you."

I closed my eyes and prayed. Prayed that she would wake up. For me to be able to see those eyes I love so much. To hear her voice again. "I love you Sayuri. With all my heart. Please don't leave me." I kissed her lips. And cried.

The car stopped moving and the door was pulled open. Sannan and nurses were waiting for us out side the hospital. Harada took Sayuri off my arms and put her on a stretcher.  I got out of the car and followed eve one else inside the hospital.

The nurses pulled her toward double doors and Sannan stopped me and Harada. "You can't go in there. I will keep you informed about her condition." And with that he ran towards the direction Sayuri was taken. Both Harada and myself stayed out in the hall.

The minutes felt like hours. Nurses came in and out of the area but none could give up information about Sayuri. 2 hours had past, until Sannan came out. Both of us ran towards him. "How is she?!" We both asked. He looked at us both and then looked down.

"We tried everything we could, but she's not responding well. Am afraid we ran out of time." I fell to the ground. The whole world stopped. I wanted to scream but nothing came out of my mouth. What I feared the most is happening. Am losing her and I can't do anything to stop it.
