'Sam can take this RTC that's coming in?' ' Yeah' I yelled back. Dixie then came across the ED wheeling the RTC 'victim'. 'RESUS please' I told Dixie. They where covered in cuts, bruises and scars. You could tell they where a youngish woman/girl by there hair and height. She was unconscious so that was my main priority to sort.
'Sam she's coming round' said as nurse who had been sent to get me. I took a speed walk back to RESUS. 'Hey can you hear me, I'm Dr Sam Nicholls I'm treating you, do you know where you are?' '. Samantha' she chocked out. That was the minute I recognised her. 'Can someone get Dr Keogh please or Dr Hanna no one else'. 'Hey Charlie what happened?' 'Mums boyfriend' she stammered. I just rubbed the less painful shoulder. Zoe then walked in. 'Dr Nicholls what's wrong?' 'I can't treat her, please I don't want to leave her side.' 'Okay, what have we got?' I then listed off the information to Zoe. 'And why can't you treat her Sam?' 'She's my little Sister.' 'Sam you know the protocol for U18 we will have to call your parents.' 'Actually Zoe you wont' 'and why will that be?' 'If you had checked her medical records you would have noticed that in her next of kin' 'okay, well then Sam your off duty, your sister should be fine, but you may want to get full legal rights over that, as those are abuse marks.' 'I would but Dylan doesn't want my 15 year sister in our house.' 'You're still living with Dylan?' 'Yes, anyway my family my business.'
