It was the final day of the contract.

The day Rowan was moving.

The day their lives would never the same.

"Oh honey were all going to miss you so much!" Rowan's mom held her.

Rowan had her bags ready to go to the airport, but her family didn't realize she had a meeting with MJ, Jake, and Corey before she left.

Rowan smiled. "I'll miss you too mommy! I will call everyday i promise. I'll be back before you know it!" she said

Carmen hugged her. "Are you excited to start a new school? You're going to make many friends, i just know it!" she smiled

Rowan grinned. "I am very happy and excited. This is what's best" she said

Her dad stood up. "Honey what about Corey? Have you talked at all?" he asked

Rowan told them she and Corey called off the engagement and broke up.

Rowan shook her head. "No dad. Corey and i will no longer be seeing each other. That's why moving to New York is the best thing for me, but for him too. We need to move on" she said.

Her mom nodded. "Honey, i know how hard it was for the both of you. But maybe when you two are older.." she began

"No mom. I can't do it I'm sorry. Its better this way" she tried to smiled.

The limo honked. It was time for her to go.

Rowan hugged her family once more.

"Good luck honey, we know you'll be great. Take care of yourself" her mom said.

Rowan nodded. "Thank you guys for being there for me. I'll be back one day i promise. I'll visit over the summer! I'm not sure if i want to stay there after the year or not but..." she started

Her dad held her. "We'll be here whenever you want to come home Rowan." he said

Rowan smiled and picked up her bags to leave.

"Bye Rowan! We'll miss you!" her family waved her off goodbye.

Rowan got in the limo and left.

Rowan walked into the office where Corey and the two men were waiting for her.

"Rowan, glad you could make it" Jake said.

Rowan nodded. "So were officially done with this contract. Are Corey and i free to go?" she said

Jake nodded. "Of course. You both followed the guidelines, and it was a complete success. Corey has an audition for a film, and Rowan i contacted some of my friends who are from New York. They want to offer you a few roles" he smiled

Corey nods. "So in other words, were all done here?" he asked

Jake nodded. "Yes, but i need you both to promise to never reveal the truth about the contract. This needs to stay between the four of us, and the cast members." he stated

"Don't worry Jake, we won't say a thing." Rowan said.

Jake smiled. "Good luck to the both of you, i know you'll do many great things." he shook their hands and left.

Michael looked at them. "There's something i wanted to tell you before you both leave" he said.

Both Rowan and Corey nodded.

Michael sighed. "I don't know what happened between the two of you over this past year. But i do know you two really care about each other and it breaks my heart to see you both leave each other's lives like this.

"Michael-" Rowan began

He held up his hand. "Wait I am not finished. You two are the best kids i know. Someday you'll understand why this contract came to happen, and i see that it already changed your lives and how you see each other. I know you're both walking away from something, but i hope one day you'll change your mind and come back together again" he smiled

Corey nods. "Thanks Michael i appreciate this. I don't know what's going to happen from now on, but I am happy to say this show changed my life" he said

"Mine too" Rowan stood up. "Thanks for everything Michael,i owe you everything. I better be going.. " she hugged Michael and left.

"Rowan!" she turned to see Sabrina and the boys.

"Sabrina!" she cried. She ran to her and hugged her best friend.

"We didn't want you to leave without saying goodbye first!" Sabrina said.

Rowan smiled. "Thanks guys.. I'll miss you all so much. I'll text and call often as i can. You three mean the world to me"

Peyton hugged her. "Were gonna miss you kid, take good care okay?" he smiled

Amir grinned. "Yeah seriously. It won't be the same without you.. But we'll see you next summer right?"

Rowan nods. "Of course! I'll be back for Christmas too anyways."

She looked at her watch.

"I better be going.. i have a plane to catch!" she smiled. She hugged her friends once more and they waved to her as she ran to her limo.

She opened the door when she heard her name again.

"Rowan! Wait!" Corey called.

Rowan turned. "Corey? Um.. what is it? I need to go" she said

Corey nodded. "I know.. but.. I wanted to tell you something first" he said

Rowan slowly nodded and waited.

Corey stood in silence. "Rowan.. I.." he couldn't finished.

Rowan sighed. "You what Corey? What is it?" she said

Corey sighed. "I just wanted to say good luck and.. I hope you love New York" he attempted a smile.

She nods. "I think i will actually.. Take care of yourself Corey." she got in the limo.

"Yeah you too, and maybe one day we'll see each other again" he said hopefully

Rowan barely moved. "Mhm.. one day. Goodbye Corey" she replied.

The limo drove off.

Rowan found her seat on the plane.

She was reading a book when the plane took off.

She began to fiddle her hands when she realized she was still wearing the engagement ring Corey had given her.

She had forgotten to take it off.

She sighed, and continued to wear the wring.
