Honestly, when we were having breakfast, the eldest daughter, Mary, was the first and only person I talked to. I think we have this special bond because one, she's a girl and two she's around my age. In fact we are born on the same year and month! I was nervous for school... At least Mary's schedule was the same as mine. When we entered there were girls staring. Not being racist or anything but I think it's because I look... well... different. You see I'm from America and they're Chinese. You can tell what I'm trying to explain here. The bell rang, that sounded like an ordinary bell, but the loudest bell I've ever heard in my life! I followed Mary since we're in the same classes which are, Science, Robotics, Music, Cheerleading and History. I was proud of my Science sheet that we had to complete, but then I realised everyone finished before me and everyone's answers were way better, judging by the way they answer questions the teacher asks. For example, the teacher asks, "What is a scientific word for water?", I would answer H2O. Students in my class wouldn't just say H2O, but also why it's called that, who made that name for it and when did they make the name for it! I then found out... IT WAS A TEST!!! She was testing us to see what level in Science we are. I got a... D! My first ever D! In Robotics, we got handed a bunch of, 'useful materials'. We had to create a machine with it in twenty minutes flat. Again, I was proud of mine... until I saw everyone else's... THEY WERE HUMAN LIKE ROBOTS!!! They didn't have human-like skin, but they were in human figures! Then I looked at the black-board... It said human-like machine! How was I supposed to know?! She didn't tell me! Although she did write it on the board... I guess they do things differently around here. I got a E in that class and now it was time for Music. Nothing could possibly go wrong! I love Music! I can't stuff this up! I won't! I went in the class. The lady had a beautiful smile and looked American. She told us to volunteer to sing some songs we knew. No one volunteered. This was my chance, to show everyone what I am capable of doing. That I am talented! Even though singing is one thing, which technically still proves I am capable of singing well! Okay... Now I'm just losing it. Good thing whenever I sing, I let loose... I raised my hand and whispered, "I'd like to sing". I sang an original. It's about being brave and striving to turn your dreams into plans. It's called, "Dream Plan". By the end of the song everyone cheered. I was blushing red. Our assignment was to write an original song and hand it to the teacher when we were done. I had an idea. I would call the song, "Original", it would be about being yourself. I finished before everyone! Guess what I achieved... An A! The bell rang, finally, we had break. I hanged out with Mary. We talked and talked and talked, while I kept telling her about my A. Like a true friend, she was not one bit annoyed! I mean, a true friend, could get annoyed and the only reason I'm saying that is as, I won't, but I might, MIGHT, get a tiny bit annoyed... Just being honest here! We now have Cheerleading! Yay! I love Cheerleading! I was so exited, while skipping to the Oval, tripped and twisted my ankle! I stayed in the 'Sick Bay' for the whole Cheerleading Tryouts, with a bandage wrapped around my ankle! One thing I love... REALLY?! I wondered, 'when was lunch', so I looked on my schedule sheet and realised, we didn't have lunch! We just had, 'break'. Break already passed. I now have... HISTORY! I don't like it, in fact, I hate it! Mum told Mrs. Chan I had to do History, so I could, 'learn'. When we entered the class room, the teacher, Mrs. Ching, (which read on her badge) already placed sheets on our desk, with a sharp pencil, with a rubber on top of it, next to it. It made no sense! I guess everyone here, was used to it, when Mrs. Ching yelled, "THREE, TWO, ONE, BEGIN", then everyone took their pencil and started writing answers. While I tried hard, I thought I was going to fail. Mrs. Ching yelled, "PENCILS DOWN". She took our sheets and marked them at her desk. There was a complete silence throughout the class room. After about, ten minutes she handed our sheets back. I couldn't believe my mark... I GOT AN A IN HISTORY?! "Alright, have I marked everyone's work?", Mrs. Ching yelled, while, I replied yes. She smiled at me, while, the whole class was dreaded with silence, fearing that if they whisper a word, they will receive detention. As I walked home, Mary came up to me, "Can I tell you something"...
