I laughed, 'Thomas looks so good in blue and cranberry. I wouldnt know what id do if our uniforms were green or something.' Pushing a piece of my burgany hair back i shove another bit of my cursant in my mouth. 'God i love these.'

"Abby, look its Alice." Thomas Smith, my best friend since i eleven and foolish, exclaimed while pointing at something flying over to our table.

Alice was my owl. She was a cute little thing with grey n black feathers and had a plain vanilla envelope in her beak. Hovering over us gently, i take the letter out of her beak and allow her to land on my lap, she skawked sympathetically. "Good girl." I mutter as i open the letter.

My face pales as i read the carefully looped words of my mother. 'We are moving to England!'
Thomas notices my distress and hugs me.
"Whats wrong?"
I look at him,
"Im.. moving." 'So very far away from here.' I add to myself.
He smiles,
"Well that not too bad now is it? Youll still be able to go here im sure. I dont think their are boundaries as long as you can make it. I heard Sam Foggard is from Tennessee."

But i frown, thinking bitterly. 'I dont think England counts.' He must have realized it was major because he then snatches the letter out of my hand.

Within seconds he has read it and his blue eyes grow dull.
"Oh." Is all he can say as he looks back down at his plate.

My insides are twisting, spinning and knotting. 'Im going to be sick.'
I excuse myself with a mumble and leave heading through the commons towards the nearest girls bathroom.

However,  before i can make it out i pass Jackson Hart, the green eyed blounde hairred Wampus bully.
"Whats the matter Grimes? Thomas refuse to go out with you?" He snickers as i run out. 'Worse.. Ill never have the chance to see if he wanted to. Ive waited too long.'
