Chaoter 11

"Ok, so the first thing that we wanted to give you, was this." Helen says, handing me a brand new iPhone 5 with a black life proof case on it. I take it from her, eyes bulged and mouth gaping. "Are you sure?" I ask, looking at them. They nod. "You have your own room, too." Steve adds and we walk down a hall. Helen opens a door and we step in the room. In it is a bed, stripped clean of any sheets, a desk with a brand new apple laptop, a bureau, a bedside table, and a flat screen tv hanging on the wall. "Oh my god. This is all mine?" I ask, looking at them. They nod. "We didn't know your taste, so for tonight you can use some of our sheets. But tomorrow morning we can go get some for you. Whatever you'd like." Helen says, smiling. I nod, flashing a genuine smile. "Thanks." I say. "Oh, I almost forgot!" Steve says, walking away. "You can have your choice of being home-schooled or go to a private school, too." Helen says. "Can I be home-schooled?" I ask. She nods. "Of course." She replies and Steve's comes back with an iPad mini, the newest version. "Here, we got the wifi in it and it's 64 gigs." He tells me, handing it to me. I put my new phone in my back, jeans pocket and take the iPad. "Thank you." I told them and they nod. "Anything for you sweetie." Helen says. "We'll let you get settled in. We just have an errand to run really quick." Steve says, kissing my head and they leave. I wait a few seconds and hear the front door close then the car starts. It pulls out and I jump onto my bed, bellyflopping onto it. I take out my phone, tossing my iPad onto the bed in front of me. I dial dean's number, a smile on my face. "Hi, dean speaking." Dean answers. I giggle. "Hey baby. I got adopted today." I tell him. "What? Really? Are they nice?" Dean questions. I laugh. "They. Are. Awesome. They gave me my own room, a new iPhone 5, iPad mini, and Mac." I inform him. "Wow, that's awesome baby. I'm so happy for you." Dean says, care in his voice. "So what have you been up to?" I ask, flipping over onto my back. "Just hanging out with the guys. I miss you." He says. "I miss you too. Maybe, since I now live in Cincinnati, I could see you more." I say, smiling. "Are you serious? You live in my hometown?!" Dean asks, ecstatic. "Yes. And I'm pretty sure RAW's coming her next month." I say, as I find it on my iPad. "Yeah, it is. I was gonna surprise you and after RAW, since Vince gave my the week off to spend with family, I was gonna fly out to see you. But now I don't need to." Dean says, the smile evident in his voice. "I know. And I'm sure that Helen and Steve will let me go to RAW." I tell him, smiling brightly. "And make sure to stay after... Ok, I can't wink over the phone, but pretend I just did." He says, making me giggle. "Ok. Wink, wink." I says and we laugh. "So, what's the house like?" Dean asks. "It's nice. It's HUGE," I tell him. "And I get to be homeschooled." I add. "Wow, that's amazing." He says and I hear a commotion in the background. "Hey magic, it's Seth. Just wanted to say hi from me and roman and that we love you and hope you're sa- owe! Fine I'll give you the phone!" Seth says, rushing the first part and shouting the last at dean. "Shit, Seth. Anyways, I'll text you later. Ok?" Dean asks. "Yup. I love you." I say. "Love you too." He says and we hang up. I dial my old number to the phone which I gave to Lila. "Hi." She says. "Hey lil." I reply. "Magic! Hey, how's it going over there?" She asks. "Awesome. It's so nice. But I miss hanging out with you already." I say, frowning at the end. "Damn girl, I miss you too." She says, sighing. "So, what's been going on?" I question. "You've been gone for 2 1/2 hours magic." She says, laughing. I laugh. "So?" She sighs. "Nothing really. I have to go though, Lisa's coming." I say bye and we hang up. I laugh and hear the door opened, followed by voices. "Magic, we're home!" Helen says. "K!" I shout back, getting up. I walk down the hall and notice there're in the kitchen. "Need help?" I ask noticing that they're putting away food. "Awe, thanks sweetie. But no, we got this. If you want, go get some music or something from iTunes on your phone, the passwords and stuff are in the notes." Helen says. I nod, smiling. "Ok, thanks. Um, can I ask you something?" I say, biting my lip. She stands up from bending at the frig as Steve comes in with more bags. "Yeah. Anything." She says. "Well, I like wrestling and this big promotion is coming next month. Do you think you could buy me a ticket to go?" I ask. She smiles. "Sure. In fact, right down the information and I'll get some good tickets." She says. "Thanks." I smile and grab a pad of paper, jotting down the information. "Here you go." I say, hand it to her, she nods, and I walk back to my room. My phone buzzes and I unlock the screen, seeing its dean.

I sit on my bed, biting my lip before answering.
~so you're coming here?~
~well, to Cincinnati. But of corse I want to see you~
I lay down, smiling.
~ok 😊 when will you be here?~

I put my phone down and go into the living room, finding Steve sitting on the couch. "Can I take a shower?" I ask, siting on the arm of the couch. "Of course. There's one connected to your room." He says, getting up. I follow him into my room and he opens a door in it, revealing a bathroom. "Oh cool. Thanks." I say. "Anytime. Towels and stuff are all in here." He says, and leaves, closing my room door behind him. I close the bathroom door too and strip down, turning on the water. This'll be the first shower in a while that I'm not gonna cut, I think as I get in.




NEXT WEEK


DEAN POV

"And where do you think you're going?" Seth asks, as I pack my suitcase. I chuckle, turning to look at him. "I'm going to Cincinnati." I say, smiling. "You're not gonna see magic?" He asks, frowning as he sits on my bed. "Yeah I am. She got adopted and lives there now." I say, smiling hugely. Seth nods. "That's awesome. I'm happy for you guys." He says, clapping me on the back.


MAGIC POV

I wake up, yawning and outstretching my arms. "Magic! Breakfast's done!" Helen calls from the kitchen. "K!" I shout back. I out of bed, picking up my phone and plucking the charger. The screen awakens and I smile, seeing a message from dean.
~hey babe. I'm leaving to Cincinnati in a bit😊~
I smile, unlocking the phone.
~yus! I can't wait 2 c u😄~
I toss my phone on the bed and walk over to my bedroom door, my bare feet pattering in the wood flooring. I open it and walk down the hall, my new cousin's dog, butter bean, jogging next to me. "Hey, beanie." I say, looking down at the Russell terrier. "Morning." I say, walking into the kitchen. "Hey. I was thinking today we could head down to the dealership, get you a car." Steve says, turning a page in the newspaper. "Seriously?" I ask, sitting across from him at the kitchen table. "Yeah. I can't have you wandering around without one!" He says, smiling over the paper. I smile back. "Thank you." I say. "Magic, sweetie, how many eggs do you want?" Helen asks. "2. Thank you." I reply. She smiles and slides two eggs onto a plate, along with sausage and toast. She puts the plate down in front of me.
