Once we step outside I'm overwhelmed by the beautiful scenery of seemingly endless trees.
"Is this... the Woodland Realm?" I ask slowly. "As in; Mirkwood?"
"Does that mean I need to tell you whom I am or-"
"Prince Legolas of Mirkwood!" I say quickly and blush, then give a quick bow. "I'm sorry, I should've known earlier!"
He chuckles at my flusteredness."it's alright, please just call me Legolas. Same the formalities for my father."
"Y-your father? I'm not sure I want to meet the Thranduil of Mirkwood..." I say nervously. From tales I've heard, he is merciless, and looms over everyone like a hawk. "-with all due respect." I butt in.
He smiles and shakes his head. "But he has requested to meet you for dinner tonight. You don't have to go I guess, but I'm not letting you leave yet..."
"Huh?"
"You remember I'm the one who found you in the forest?"
"Yes, of course! Out of all the things that happened that night, that was the most vivid moment." I explain as we continue to walk down a path.
"You were wounded and scared, and I don't want to see you like that again, okay Y/N?"
Wow. Very direct this one....
"A-alright." I nod.
"I won't ask about your past, but I have one question; do you have any family, or a home?"
"Well... I'm not sure about either..."
He stops walking, "What do you mean? Do you not have a family? Anyone? We could find them for you-"
"No... not that I know of." I mutter.
He has a small blush and sighs, "I'm sorry I brought that up. We can worry about that later... let's get our minds off all that, and get to know each other. Well each ask one question at a time" I nod as he continues, "What's your favorite color?"
I smile at his eagerness to learn about me, and I can't say I'm not eager to see him as well. "Hmmm... (Favorite color)... How about you?"
He smiles at my smile, "Green, definitely. It's the color of trees, forests, life... Oh! I'm getting distracted, your turn!"
"Is that bow on your back just for looks?" I tease.
He chuckled and unsheathed his bow and readies at quickly and shoots it. I look up to see that he had shot it into a falling leaf perfectly and pinched into the tree.
"Wow!" I said in awe.
Amazing, but he iiisssss a bit a of a show off...
