-Eren's P.O.V-
As I watched the tide roll out I felt memories surface that I had tried my hardest to suppress. Memories like when I first met Levi, our first kiss, when we talked about what we wanted from our relationship, and many other things. You might be thinking other things would include us getting steamy, but we agreed to wait until after the wedding.
You are probably thinking I am a terrible person for leaving him at the altar and cock blocking him. Except, I had my reasons for cock blocking him. Once I gave myself to him completely, if I left he could have died. That is one of the downsides of being soul mates. If I was kidnapped he would feel pain worse than death until I was safe again. If I was injured he would feel the pain also. If I was killed he would be too. One act would intertwine our fates more than they already were.
I must have been spacing out a bit too long because I was soon met with a face full of sand. I lifted my head slowly and glared behind me. Sasha moved so quick to hide behind Mikasa it was almost comical. Almost.
"Time to head in," I asked. Mikasa nodded as she started cleaning up. I got up and helped her. "Is it okay if my friends stay for the rest of break," she asked. "Are they having trouble at home," I asked concerned. They may annoy me sometimes but they are still family to me. "Something like that," she said quietly. I think she thinks I didn't hear her like usual but my hearing is much better than a human's. I nodded signaling they could stay. She looked at me with a small smile. "But, we are having another campfire tomorrow night," I said. She gave a soft chuckle as I helped carry the rest into the house. Soon everyone was asleep and I found myself slowly joining them after staring at my ceiling for and hour.

Eren where are you? It has just been one hardship after another. Ten years ago we lost contact with the people we sent to help protect my sister. Other than Isabel and Furlan, she was the one that understood me most since you left. I have looked for you everywhere. On the surface and in the farthest reaches of the sea. Where are you?
Shitty glasses barged into my office unannounced as usual. I just looked at her waiting for what she had to say. "I have an idea as to where Eren could be so I'd like permission to take Isabel and Furlan with me to go check it out," she said quietly. I just gave a small nod in her direction. She swam out immediately, probably to find those two and leave.
Ever since Eren left I haven't spoken much. People are lucky if I say three words a week. Losing Eren affected me that much. I miss his warmth and how he would cuddle with me. I pulled out the letter I got all those years ago. He better be keeping my heart safe.

I woke to the smell of bacon. Normally I wouldn't wake up no matter what, but there is bacon involved. So I jumped up and ran downstairs to the kitchen. "Morning Eren," Mikasa said trying to ward off a hungry Sasha. I felt my eyes widen, merfolk are coming towards the beach. "Mikasa let's take everyone for a walk on the beach later," I said sounding as calm as possible. She gave me a strange look before nodding. I need to see who is looking for me.
Breakfast was uneventful. I made a deal with everyone that if they called me Fred until further notice I'd pay them twenty dollars a day. Mikasa raised an eyebrow at me as everyone agreed and soon she agreed as well. We soon headed out on our walk.
As we were walking two people flew out of the ocean and onto the sand. They were fully clothed but what shocked the others was that their clothes were completely dry. They stopped walking in fear of what was going on as the third person flew out and landed in the sand on their face. Two girls and one guy. The guy had brown hair which almost matched the color of the sand. One of the girls had reddish brown hair sported in two pigtails and the face planter had messy brown hair in a pony tail. Wait, is that?
I leaned down to Armin and whispered, "I'll give you twenty dollars to yell 'shitty glasses' at them." He looked confused then nodded. I held his hand with the money between our gripped hands. He looked at me and yelled out, "Shitty glasses! What the hell?" He took the money from my hand and I couldn't help but laugh. Not only had innocent Armin yelled out profanities but the one that face planted jumped ten feet in the air. She landed on top of the other girl shaking. The man was chuckling as he walked towards us. "Since you scared my friend, I believe you owe us something," he said once he stood in front of us. "We gave you laughter so, nope," I replied coolly. He seemed shocked before he glared at me. Well if it's a glaring contest he wants he'll get it. I gave him a glare I hold deep in my heart, I mastered Levi's glare after one hundred years of practice. What can I say, it gave me something to do. He almost immediately backed down as the girls walked over. "Furlan, did you have to be rude to them," Hange asked. "They started it," he muttered. "Anyway we are looking for someone, we've been looking for them for a long time," Armin cut Hange off. "Really, how long is a long time?"
"Five hundred years."
