"Isn't she just beautiful?" My father asked me as my new mother stepped out of the car with two other girls: Olivia and Ashley.
All I could do was nod my head in awe. I never had a mother, much less than two other sisters. This is a dream come true, I thought. A big grin spreading on my face.
The two little girls and their mother, Our mother, I corrected myself walked towards us.
"My dear, you must be freezing! Come in, come in! You too, girls." My father said cheerfully.
My Step-Mother gave me a look, it froze me to the spot. When my Step-Sisters and Step-Mother were ushered in, I stood on the porch, stunned. What was that look on my Step-Mother's face?
In years to come, I will come to recognize it as pure hatred. For what, I do not Know.
