Bill's pov:

"No. Not a fan of being alone for all of eternity myself. So not gonna subject a newbie to that."

He'd only rolled his eyes at that, but he let Dipper curl into him after he'd hoisted him up, shaking his head slightly for the time being.

Though he'd practically dropped him the moment there was so much Sass™ radiating from him, taking a soft breath, fangs bared slightly out of habit — how dare someone so low in the rungs attempts to even mildly stand against him, hell, part of the Realm that was visible here seemed to tinge a reddish hue.

"You don't know what you're doing or what I'm feeling, ŞØ ŞŦØР β€ΞŇg Δ βŘΔŦ."

He hissed softly, almost moving to attack him before stopping himself and just. He pulled back, a scowl on his features, taloned fingers pinching the bridge of his nose, this is normal. This is what a newling is supposed to be like, too emotional and unstable. He can keep his cool just fine.

Of course, when he opened his eyes he was alone, and oh boy, that's great. He only grumbled under hsi breath and focused, time to turn that all-seeing eye of his on the entirety of his realm. He's likely in the forest that mimicked the Falls, and, lo and behold, he was right.

Still, he huffed softly as he focused and appeared on the edges of the forest, tapping his foot impatiently, before glaring throughout the trees. He didn't express emotions well, but in spite of what was going on, he had cared.

"PINE TREE!"

He wasn't even patient enough to attempt telepathy, nor dive into the trees himself.

Dippers pov:

Dipper heard his name being yelled throughout the woods. He stopped in his tracks shaking in fear, Dipper responded not knowing if bill would hear him "B-Bill? I'm by the meadow." Dipper waited for what seemed like hours until he heard his name again.

Dipper took off running in the direction that he heard his name being called. He didn't care what he saw in the woods, between other demons that grabbed at his legs and the fake replicas of the woodland creatures in gravity falls. Dipper kept running.

"Bill?" He called again feeling like he was getting lost, "Pine tree," Bill sang to him. Dipper knew when he reached bill he would be mad. When he'd left Bill's entire body was turning red, but Dipper hadn't cared at the moment, he was too mad at Bill and thought Bill didn't care about him. Had he been wrong? Why would Bill come looking for him if he hadn't cared about Dipper? Why did Dipper have such strong feelings for a creature that tried to destroy the world?

Dipper finally reached bill and fell to his knees apologizing to Bill for running off, that he didn't understand what was going through his mind lately and that he takes back all the things he said to Bill.

Bills pov:

The demon was stubborn in his decision to not enter those woods, he may have manifested them but he cared not for its inhabitants. Though he had heard Dipper's call from within the meadow and in moments spliced a small path through the trees. Something to attempt to guide Dipper back to him, though from how long he was left waiting and had to repeat the boy's name, it didn't seem to help much. Sigh.

He called and waited, and before he knew it that anger seethed away to just a soft sort of concern, it had him scowl, how soft can he get? Yeesh.

Yet even he couldn't push aside the little blossom of relief that rose when Dipper burst through the trees. It was swiped away soon enough by his sniveling, but he took a deep breath and crouched, a soft frown on his face and a mumbled phrase in a demonic tongue, before he rested a hand atop his head.

"You're fine, kid, ya can't do much to help it. Part of adjusting to the demonic body you've got now is some... borderline childish mood swings, they'll pass in a day or two. Or, well, in what feels like that since time doesn't exist here. Come on, you've gotta learn how to eat like a demon."

Wow, he did not expect his voice to soften like it did, but by the time he mentioned eating he'd shaken it, that doubling echo returned and he moved to pull him up again.

Hoo boy, soul-eating is gonna be a ride™ to explain.

Dipper's pov:

Eat? Like a demon? I thought demons didn't eat? I mean what is the point of eating anymore I'm no longer human, Dipper's face showed confusion and borderline fear, what did Bill mean 'eating'? And why was Bill being so nice to him? The ground started to disappear as Bill teleported them to a new location in the nightmare realm, dipper clung to Bill tightly fearing that they might fall as they floated in mid-air slowly moving towards their landing spot.

Dipper hit the ground harder than Bill, he was new to this floating thing, the last time he was floating was when Bill took over his body when he was 12, what did Mabel call us again oh yeah Bipper, "Bipper huh that would be a cute ship name, no I can think of a better one, billdip! That's it", Dipper was lost in thought as Bill was talking to him not even hearing one word he was saying.

~flash back~

It was the summer right after Mabel and Dipper thought they defeated Bill, Dipper sat in his room at his parents' house as he thought of all the creatures he saw in gravity falls. He'd immediately regretted leaving, there was so much more he wanted to discover and secretly he wanted to go wherever Bill was from, dipper wanted to know more about the demon, like how he was created what was his purpose? The more he realized he didn't know about the dream demon,  the more Dipper started to form feelings for Bill as he sought to understand his defeated adversary.

~end of flash back~

Dipper continued to think about Bill and how he wished he was still in gravity falls, he'd come back for family and because there was so much more he wanted to learn about the forest, but he knew Bill would never let him leave. So he would have to ask Bill to show him the secrets of gravity falls from the nightmare realm.
