A New Home

The News

Running footsteps are heard, "ANDY'S COMING!" everybody rushes to their places as Andy runs in humming cowboy music.

"Hey Guys!!" Andy says to his toys, "I have to start packing you up now!! We get to move to a new house!!"

Jessie's eyes widen and fear crosses her face when she sees the box, her thoughts are interrupted by Andy's mom calling him for dinner, Andy cheers and runs downstairs after putting Jessie in a box.

As soon as Jessie is sure he's gone she starts panicking. "No! Can't go! Lemme out of here!!!!" she has tears in her eyes as the box is finally opened by Woody and Buzz. As they pull her out she clings to Buzz mumbling something along the lines of "Its Emily all over again, no no no.." Buzz gently hugs her and assures her that its not.

Heavy footsteps are heard as Andy's mom enters the room, she begins to pick up Andy's toys when her eyes fall on Jessie, she picks her up, as she's about to put her in the box, she notices something beneath Jessie's braid. She raises an eyebrow and moves her braid and finds a beautifully carved "Emily" on her neck, tears fill her eyes as the memories return. "Oh Jessie...how did Andy find you.." she smiles and holds Jessie, just like she used to do.

Millions of memories go through Jessie's mind as she's held by someone she thought long forgot her "oh my god...she finally remembers me.. After two years of being here with Andy." Emily Davis stares down at the Jessie doll with a gentle smile and pulls her string and listens as Jessie says "Yee-haw!"

Emily smiles, "I'm so glad it was Andy that found you..he'll be so much better to you than I ever was." she hugged the doll to her chest and set her back down to go to Andy who was calling for her. "Coming sweetie!" she left the room.

Jessie starts sobbing, a hand over her mouth as she sits on her knees, woody watches as Buzz kneels by her see if she's alright. "She finally remembers me.." she says through tears.

Buzz looks at her "How long have you known?"

Jessie smiled sadly, "I knew the moment I saw her face..she still smiles just the same" she sniffles and tries to stop crying.

~Two Hours Later~

Andy is putting the last of his toys in the box, he places Jessie and Buzz in the box together and closes the lid. He turns off the light and crawls into bed. Jessie is left in the box with nothing but the glow of Buzz's space suit to illuminate them in the darkness. She's shaking and mumbling, Buzz gently takes her hand and brushes a loose strand of hair out of her face. "You're going to come out of the box. I promise." and for the first time in years, she truly believed it as she leaned against his shoulder and closed her eyes.
