A New Home

The First Night

Once the toys were certain that Andy had fallen asleep, they slowly emerged from their spots in the hopes of exploring their new home. Jessie was amongst them, that is after she wriggled herself out of Buzz's arms from being "Taken in" during Andy's little story. "Phew" she mumbled as Buzz stretched out from being in one spot for too long, "what a story."

Buzz smiled at her, "It was fun. I think Andy was happy with it." He spoke softly and looked at the ground, trying not to think of how gorgeous Jessie looked as the moon reflected off of her emerald eyes, how her hair fell perfectly, framing her gentle face. The way she was smiling made his knees weak.  He quickly shook his head to rid himself of the thoughts. Little did he know, Jessie was sneaking glances at him too.

Jessie quickly looked away from Buzz as he began to come out of his spaced out state. She admitted to herself that she cared a great deal for the Space Toy. It was hard not too. The way his blue eyes met her green ones..or the way he stuttered while trying to talk to her. Part of her wondered if he too cared for her as she did him. She smiles to herself, a little hopeful that he would. But until she knew for sure she was just going to keep her mouth shut and let whatever happens, happen. After all, he was still her best friend. Her handsome...caring.. Best friend.

It took about five minutes of them gazing at each other for one of them to speak. He looked at her and smiled.

"So Jessie, j-just a shot in the dark...but would you like to come  explore the house with me..? I-if not that's fine. Just curious."

Jessie grinned, there was that adorable stutter again, "Sure! Lets go!" She walked over to the open door and walked through with buzz, somehow they ended up in Molly's room. She was sleeping peacefully, her toys were wandering about as well, they decided it was best to leave before Molly woke up.

Buzz found himself looking at Jessie again, no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't help but to watch her every move. He knew now that if he didn't get the courage to tell her how he felt, he was going to lose his mind.

He took a deep breath, "Jessie, I..." He was cut off by heavy footsteps... Much to heavy to be Andy's mother, they froze in their spots as a man in all black wandered the house..this was not good.

Jessie whispered to Buzz, "He's a burglar.. Or worse..a killer.. He could hurt Andy... We have to stop him.." Buzz nodded, she was right as usual.

He got an idea, "Jessie, do me a favor, help me grab that rope, the only way he can get out of here is to use the stairs...so I say that we.."help him" down the stairs.

Jessie broke into a huge grin and immediately began helping Buzz get the rope. Once the rope was tied tightly across the stairs the man started creeping to the stairs, as he stepped forward he tripped over the rope and fell down the stairs with a loud thump.

Awoken by the loud bang, Andy's mom grabbed her pistol and stepped outside her room only to see an unconscious burglar at the foot of her staircase, without a second thought she called the police and the man was arrested and taken into custody. It turns out he was wanted in seven counties.

Once everything calmed down and Andy's mom went back to bed, Jessie threw her arms around Buzz's neck and hugged him tightly. "That was incredible!!" She squealed and kissed Buzz's cheek.

Buzz turned a bright shade of red and hugged her back.

Jessie suddenly remembered that Buzz had been trying to tell her something, "Oh yeah! What was it you were trying to tell me?"

Buzz jumped slightly, "o-oh! It's nothing.." He mumbled.

"Whatever you say space toy." With that said they went back to Andy's room to get some much needed sleep.
