Wendy's POV

Wendy was studying for her finals in the living room at the Darling home. She was only 2 months from graduation and she couldn't wait to be free from school. She wanted to travel so badly. When Peter came home, he promised to take her all over the world. Just the two of them. Her parents would never approve but she would be 17 soon. She was fully a woman now, more so than the last time she saw Peter over a year ago when he was sent to war. She had filled out and had voluptuous curves now. She had a lovely figure and men were always coming on to her. She would politely tell them she was married, which is completely untrue, but her heart belonged to Peter. She was lost in thought, imagining their wedding, having children, and growing old together when she was brought out of her fantasies by a knock on the door. She opened the door and a man in a military uniform was standing at the door. He took his hat off and put it near his heart and then handed her a piece of paper.

"My condolences, miss." he said. Wendy's heart stopped. She quickly looked down at the paper. It was a telegram.

We regret to inform you that Sergeant Peter Pan, along with his whole platoon, were killed at sea.

Wendy read the it again to make sure she didn't misread it. She felt her knees going weak as tears began to blur her vision. She put her hand over her mouth to muffle her loud sob as she ran into the house, slamming the door behind her. She went to her room and threw herself onto the bed. She cried for hours until it was dark. She knew everyone was asleep by this time in the house and quietly went down stairs and outside. She walked in the cold night air all the way to the London Bridge. Wendy then looked up at the sky and noticed it was clear. The moon shining big and brightly, illuminating everything around her. She thought back to the time her and Peter sneaked out just to look up at the sky together.

Flash back

Days before he was to ship off to war, Peter told her to sneak out of the house to meet him.

"Peter! We better not get caught!" Wendy says as they walked to the London Bridge.

"We won't. Don't worry. My word is my honor." Peter said giving Wendy a cute smirk.

"What is it that you want to show me?" Wendy asked as they finally made it to the bridge.

"Look up." he said. Wendy looked up and gasped. The sky was beautiful. The moon was full and the stars were shining so bright. Wendy had never been out this late at night. She had never seen such a beautiful sight before.

"Wow. Peter, it's amazing." Wendy told him.

"Look up at the moon." he said and Wendy looked up at the beautiful moon. "Whenever I'm not here, look up at the moon and I will be looking too. I will always find you, my bird, no matter how much time it will take me. I will be back for you." He said while caressing her check and he kissed her.

End of Flash back

Tears streamed down Wendy's face. The pain in her chest was too much. She felt like her heart was being ripped out and being squeezed way too tightly. She just wanted the pain to stop. She climbed up onto the railing of the bridge and stood looking over the edge. It was a very high drop into the water. She looked up at the moon one last time.

"Peter, I love you." she cried out and then jumped, falling into the water. Her cold body floated out to sea to a large scary looking ship. It sails with large and worn out sails. There is a name written on the side of it reading,' The Flying Dutchman.'
