getting along (chapter 4)

Draco chased you around the room trying to get the sketchbook away from you, after a couple of tries he finally got the book

"Got it!"

"No fair! Give it back!"

"Nope" draco looked at the sketch and a smirk formed on his face, he just stared at the drawing

"Wait...why aren't you being mean to me?"

Draco tossed the sketchbook back to me, put on a blank expression, and walked away

"I don't know what you are talking about"

"Don't play that game, you know exactly what I'm talking about, why were you being playful and not mean?"

Draco sighed and sat down at the table

"I'm going to tell you something, but you have to promise not to tell a single soul! Got it!"

He said in a slightly threatening Voice looking you straight in the eye, you look back smiling, shaking your head

"Got it!"

"Its not that I want to be rude to you guys or anything, its just that... I have to"

"Huh, I still don't get it" you said tilting your head "Why do you have to?"

"To make my father proud..."

You sat down in the nearest chair which was the one right next to draco
"Oh..."
You brung your knees to your chest
"I wouldn't know how to do that"

"How come?" Draco had a hint of concern in his eyes but mostly confusion

You sighed
"Nevermind"
You got up and started to walk back to the couch but only got about 2 steps

"What do you mean nevermind!" Draco almost yelled, he stood up and grabbed your shoulder, turning you around

Your eyes were watering from trying to hold back tears, draco could see this, he pulled you into a gentle hug

You rested your head on his chest still trying not to cry

*sigh* "if you don't want to talk about it right now that's fine"

You hugged draco back but a little tighter than he was hugging you
"My parents didn't really Care about me, they thought I was a freak, they have me little food, shelter, and a couple outfits, that was it."

Draco broke the hug and both of you sat back down at the table and talked for maybe 2 minutes, then hagrid came in and told us to go to our dorm

You and draco walked to the slytherin common room together while talking

About half way to the common room draco held your hand but you didn't notice because you were to busy talking about Courtney and your life before you got here

As soon as you entered the common room, you saw Courtney sitting on a couch looking at the fireplace

"Hey bumblebee!"

"Hey (cute nickname)!"
Courtney notices draco holding your hand and giggles

"Why are you giggling?"
You said slightly tilting your head
Courtney pointed to your hand
You looked at your hand and blush slightly, you try to pull away but draco smirks and squeezes your hand so you can't break free, after a few tries he finally lets go

"Thank you *yawn* I'm going to go to bed now, you coming Courtney"

"Ya"

"Night draco"

"Night"

Draco goes to his dorm and you and Courtney go to your's
