We walk with courtney to potions before heading out to magical creatures. "Come oonnn, do you really have to leave me (y/n)?" I giggle at her whining "stop laughing, do you not see me suffering? Snapes gonna chop me up and boil me in one of his potions!!" I roll my eyes at her remarks while draco and blaise are behind me laugh "courtney, you'll be fine no ones gonna chop you up for a potion, besides I'm only going for today, but I might make it more if you keep complaining" she groined while giving me an annoyed look, stuck her tongue out, then walked into snapes class.
Draco, blaise, and I continue walking to magical creatures class. We get outside and see Hermione, harry, and ron waiting for us. "Hey little sis" mione says while smiling and waving "you ready for M.C. class?" I smile back and nod "you bet I am!"
*time skip to class*
"Tada" hagrid rise is arms to buckbeak who was just previously grooming his feathers "isn't he gorgeous" mione and I smile being the only ones who have already seen buckbeak, Everyone else looks a little scared.
Ron looking especially scared manages to stutter a few words out "hagrid, what exactly is that?"
Hagrid smiles "that, ron, is a hippogriff; now the first thing you wanna know bout hippogriffs is that they're very proud creatures, very easily affended. You DO NOT want to insult a hippogriff, may be the last thing you do." I look at buckbeak then at draco instantly finding similarities in the two and giggle. Draco, who was leaning against a rock next to me eating an apple, looked up and glanced at me curiously. "You know, you and buckbeak are astonishing similar, both very proud and affended really easily." He smiled and scoffed "haha, very funny"
Hagrid finished the basics and then looked at me "(y/n), why dont'cha come over and demonstrate how to approach a hippogriff" I smile and nod, I've been helping out hagrid after classes and during lunch so I've done this multiple times, everyone looks at me with suprising. I go up, a good amount away from buckbeak and bow, since he knows me he instantly bows back and allows me to walk up and pet him. Then hagrid speaks up happily "Alright, who's next?!" Everyone takes a few steps back but harry freezes causing him to be in front. "Good job 'arry" ron pushes him forward more causing harry to stumble forward. "Go on 'arry" He bows and buckbeak jumps up for a sec but calms down. I go back over to the group and see ron griping hermione's hand, I give her smirk and she blushes. I walk back over to dray when I notice someone glaring at me through the crowd, pansy Parkinson, The girl who has a crazy obsession with draco. I heard she once sent a girl to the infirmary just because she was partnered with draco for a project. I ignore her hoping that I'm not her next victim.
Harry gets back from his little hippogriff ride and starts petting buckbeak again. I walk back over slowly making sure buckbeak sees me coming. He walks over and nudges me and I pet him. I look over at dray stairing at me and nod for him to come over but as I do pansy decides to storm over in front of buckbeak. "See, you're harmless you stupid chicken!!" Buckbeak goes off in a fit while pansy pushes me in front him. I put my arms up in defense hoping that he realizes it's me but less than a second later I hear a scream. I opened my eyes, that I didnt even realized I closed, and gasped and the blonde on the floor. Apparently draco had stepped in front if me, he had gotten scratched pretty good and was groaning in Pain. Everyone starts freaking out. I walk back in front of buckbeak to calm him down while hagrid takes draco to the infirmary. Hagrid put me in charge so I direct everyone back over to the hut. Mione, ron and harry are walking next to me while I'm leading buckbeak. Hermione spoke up braking the silence "I hope malfoys ok, that looked like a pretty bad cut." I toss buckbeak another weasel "physical, he'll most likely only be in a cast for a few days, but knowing dray he's probably gonna be totally dramatic about it, saying that it almost killed him" we all laugh
