Daddy was on the floor when mummy and I got home. I wanted to help daddy get up, but mummy said not to. I don't know why mummy said that. Daddy's head was splashed over the floor, and he spilt some juice. But mummy kept saying no! She said daddy did it to himself, but I don't know what that means, and I don't know why there was a toy in his hand either.
"It's not your fault, Ella." Mummy pulled me in close, but I still didn't cry. "We are moving Ella, to a better place now." Mummy came down to my level. "Go pack your bags, and don't forget Ball."
I did what mummy told me to. I ran up to my room, grabbed my friends, grabbed Ball and came back down stairs. Mummy then grabbed my clothes, and pushed them into her bag.
"Are you ready, Ella?" Mummy called me from the other room. I said yes, and we both walked outside. I don't know why we didn't take daddy with us. I felt like a bad person, but mummy said to let him be. So I did.
It only took a short time for mummy to put the bags in the car. Then mummy started to drive. I asked her how long we would take, and where we were going. She said it doesn't matter, but it's supposed to be a good place, and a small number of people. Mummy said we can start a new life there, but I didn't know what she meant by that. I miss daddy. I miss home. I miss using Ball.
Ball helps me speak to dead people, like Daddy.
