The town is called Salem. Mummy said there are only fifteen people here, and there is another girl my age named Lily! She is eight years old, but i'm only six. Mummy told me to go talk to Lily, while she starts to make our new house pretty.

Salem is a small place. The houses are very close together, in a circle shape. Only thirteen houses are in the town with a little area in the middle for talking. Mummy and I live in the house closest to the entrance. I was never told why there are only fifteen people here. But mummy says it's because it's still a new place, so not many people know about it.

By the time I reached Lily's house, I decided that I don't like it here. I wanted to ask mummy if we could leave, but Lily saw me outside her house and started running towards me.

"Hey!" I think she is Lily. What pretty yellow hair. "You must be the new girl in town, Ella. Am I right? My daddy told me more people were coming." Lily was filled with life, but not her life. It is like she has some guilt inside of her. Someone Lily loved has died. I didn't respond to her, but I wanted to help, like I wanted to help daddy. "Look Ella, my dads inside if you want to-"

"Your mummy is dead Lily. When did she die?" I can feel Lily's pain now. "I know she did, so please don't lie to me. We are friends now!" Lily froze, but then went back inside without saying another word. I hurt Lily. I didn't mean to. "I'm sorry, Lily."

I then started to walk home back to mummy. I am sorry I hurt Lily, I really am. I did not mean to. I wanted to tell mummy what happened, but a weird old man stopped me on the way home. He said his name was Mr. Zook. Haha, what a silly name for a silly old man! He told me to enjoy myself while I can. I don't know what he meant by that. I want mummy.

"Mummy, I want to go home now. I don't like it here." I hope she heard me in the living room. "There is no one here to play with and i'm bored." Mummy saw me downstairs, and came to talk to me.

"We can't leave, sweetie." Mummy was sad. "Mummy doesn't have enough money to go anywhere else." She walked away towards the kitchen and put on the kettle. "Just try to get used to it. We are going to be here for a while..." Mummy was going to keep talking to me, but Mr. Zook barged inside. What a Meanie!

"Jamie," my mothers name is Jamie, "we need you. There's something wrong"
"What do you mean?"
"We have, visitors."
