Forever And Always

Chapter 3

The next day...

Scott and Becky had gotten everything done. They were back to normal or so they thought. They both went to work and had a good nights rest. But today they took the day off a day for them selfs.

They went to the movies, went to get ice cream, went to early breakfast. All of it.

They where in the car driving to downtown Seattle to see some sights. When halfway down they were talking about where they were going first... when they heard static, it was weird not the normal 50 year old tv trying to find a channel, it was wishy washy and the pitch went up and down but it wasn't from the radio.

"It sounded like it came from the back of the car." Becky thought.

Her and Scott might have shared feelings but most of the time they talked. Because that's what people do. They wanted to be normal. But the noise that they heard was anything but normal.

They had never heard that noise before. It was something outta a horror movie. And the static was for a second and then stopped. Right before the static happens they were taking about going to the "2016 museum before the storm" it was called that because 2016-2017 were the peaceful years before everything collapsed. Before the rioters demanded heads on sticks. They were the years before the storm.
They lived in what most people called "the after ages" the years where the world was perfect almost. They had no crime, No discrimination, No mentally ill, no murder, no church, no global warming, no climate, no overpopulation nothing "bad" the thing is tho as every future movie ever, it wasn't the best to mess with the way of life so drastically.

When the riots came it was the years 2018-2020 they rioted. Many people died from starvation because they were scared to go outside. They didn't want to be hurt, killed. The riots weren't peaceful they were violate and the police was out numbered by about 7-1 the only people who survived ended up being those in small towns the ones who don't riot, the ones around the world (yes the riots where around the world.) who didn't believe in violence or the ones who didn't want to stoop so low as having to use guns as the only way to protect themselves.

Then the people banned together and built the world back from the ashes that the riots left. They eventually picked president Allen and the world is a democracy. So the technology they have is only a few years ahead of 2017. 

Back to Becky and Scott

Becky then said "2016 museum before the storm" again and the static was there again.

It took all Scott had in him not to bash the window with his hand. He, his wife they where watched. There most private talks, the ones they had that wasn't for other ears was being recorded. It was in the car but when it was the two of them everything was blocked out, it was just them even if they where just talking. Then he had and idea.

Scott called to her on there mind messaging (or mm as I shall refer to it from Now on) and said "just act normal. Act as if u never heard it. We can discuss this later but I feel as if we are being watched."

The feeling made her hair stand on end. Her being the more observant of the two knew where it came from she could feel it coming from the car behind them. Then it hit her. The static she heard it all the time. From different places in their house she just never put it together. The weird static she heard sometimes, the same car always behind her. Feeling as though she was being watched all the time. She should have seen it before. The trust she had that the house was secure that she would know if her house was weird not just suspected it stopped her from trusting herself. And In that moment she knew, they both knew what they had to do. No matter what never stopping they knew what to do.

They knew they had to run.
