Jealousy

Oliver curiously looked at her phone. It stopped ringing. He thought about looking through her text messages but decided not to because things were already as awkward as it gets.

Oliver grabbed his black, thin coat and Felicity's phone and ran to try to catch up to her.

He sees her walking back towards Queen Consolidated in a hurry. Her little yellow baby hairs were flying around like little birds.

"Felicity! Fe-lic-ity!! Slow down!! Talk to me." Oliver starts.

"I forgot my phone and I have an important call with someone." Felicity said trying to get past the tall and handsome man in front of her, the yellow ponytail behind her face was swaying as she stepped from side to side.

"Who, may I ask?" Oliver asked while crossing his arms and furrowing his eyebrows. He was getting nervous.

"Ummm... Its just my mom." Felicity says scrunching her nose and instinctively scratching the back of her head.

"Well, I have your phone and..." Oliver was deciding if he should tell her about the call. Maybe it was her brother... Did Felicity even have a brother. He then remembered that she was an only child.

When they were in a relationship, she would occasionally express how badly she wanted a sibling while growing up. Someone she could play with. Some reassurance when her parents were fighting.

"Earth to Oliver! Hello? Are you gonna give my phone back?" Felicity said, the corners of her mouth rising up a bit at the blond man's little attention span.

"Oh sorry." He says handing her precious phone back to her. He ran his right hand over is signature stubble.

They start walking back to the arrow cave. Oliver builds up the courage to ask Felicity the haunting question.

"Felicity, I noticed your phone because it was ringing." He looked at her while they walked.

"And?" Felicity asked.

The blonde was getting anxious that he would ask who the person was. Her luck was tested when the question she was dreading was somewhat said, "And there was some guy named Jake.... With some emojis... Wha- Who is that?" Oliver questioned.

The blonde took a deep breath and said, "Oliver... Jake is my boyfriend. We started dating only a month ago. I was going to tell you. I just didn't know when... Or how." She said slowly. Waiting for Olivers response as she looks down.

"Why didn't you tell me? We are still friends right?" The muscular man turned to her and they stopped walking.

"Of course.... Oliver? Why would you even be questioning that? If we weren't friends, I wouldn't be working with you!" Felicity said getting defensive.

"Felicity... If you didn't realize... It has been a month. I didn't mean it that way. You know we are still friends. I know."

"See this is why I didn't want to tell you. You think a month is a long time. For God's sake, you were on an island for five years! And I thought you would know what a long time is!"

"Felicity.... Felicity!" He says as she hauls a cab and gets in.

"You know... You have think before you speak" says some old man with a cane and his wife. He pats Oliver on the shoulder and smiles sympathetically and walks back to his original spot.

Oliver begins to speed walk, more run to her apartment. Where else could Felicity be?
