Alexander turned his head towards the doors of the sitting room and nodded, seemingly in respect. I froze. Who could this be?

"Alexander, you did well boy. I'll take it from here."

No this couldn't be... Why now? The voice that I longed to hear the most in the past 12, almost 13 years...

I took a deep breath and turned to face my mother.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She hasn't aged a day since the last time I saw her. She looked exactly the same as the day she dissapeared appart from the clothes and the cold look in her eyes. Long firey red hair, that I, no doubt, inherited from her, pure green eyes that always shined with love but were covered with cold indifference now, as she looked at me. Perfect figure hugged at every inch by a revealing greek dress. It wasn't white, it was green, the colour that matched her eyes perfectly. Her skn wasn't pale like mine, it was a bronze coulour that suited her beautifully. She only looked a few years older than me... around 21- 22... How could she stay the same while my dad aged?
She smiled at me and spread her arms, the smile didn't reach her eyes."Serry, Honey bunch, won't you come over to mummy?"
I would have ran over and hugged her and cried while telling her how much I missed her if only I felt like she was my mother. As I looked at her, she seemed like a perfect stranger with my moms voice and looks, nothing more. The coldness in her voice made me take a step back. I didn't want this... this wes some kind of a joke... right? this wasn't the loving mother that was with me for the first four years of my life... the one that looked at me with love-filled eyes and laughed and smiled with such warmth in her voice. No this wasn't right...
"Serene, baby, what's wrong? Didn't you miss your mummy?" although she tried to hide it I still detected a little impatience seeping into her voice.
"Artemis, I'm sorry to interfere, but I think this is a bit of a shock to Serene. I think she needs to sit down." That's an understanding, I thought, looking at Alexander.
"Of course. Serene, "She came over, I took another step back and the backs of my knees came in contact with the couch on which I gratefully collapsed. "I know this must be of a shock to you. I'm so sorry that we had to leave you."
"You're not." I stated looking at her directly in the eyes.
"Not what?" she looked confused.
"You're not sorry. And you're not my mother. Would you please stop this charade?"
"What are you talking about?! Of course I'm your mother! Have you any idea how much I've missed you?"
"You could have at least taken acting lessons before coming here. But I guess you can't change your eyes or your voice. You are nothing like my mother. The only thing I can see in you is the coldness and indifference. The mother that I know was the warmest, kindest and loving person. So just tell me who are you?" for the first time I saw an emotion cross her face. To my surprise it was hurt.
"People change." she said that so quietly that I was thinking if I heard it at all. She cleared her throught."Serene, I wouldn't have back for a few more years and let you live a peaceful life a little more, if your life wasn't in danger." I was just about to interfere where she stopped me with a wave of her hand. "No, listen to everything I have to say. 16 years ago I was out hunting up in olympus, in the darkest forest that exists in any of the worlds... well maybe exept for the otherworld. While I was trying to get my pray, I saw a man standing no too far away, but enough for me not to recognise him at first, watching."
