Anica stormed into her room, furious. She was so angry that she could tear her hair out!

She screamed, throwing pillows and cushions around. She was furious at how helpless she was. Angry hot tears made their way down her cheeks. The silent tears soon turned into soft sobs. Anica crumpled onto the floor. Anger and hatred engulfed her. She wanted to get out so bad but she has tried enough times now to know that it would have to be a calculated event. She couldn't rely on luck, or anyone else to get her out of this mess.

At the moment her only plan was to gain Drakes trust so he lets his guard down. Then she would be able to get away. But she was finding it so hard to keep her cool around him. She didn't like how he tried to dominate her and push her around. She was a person, not some stupid toy.

The more she thought about this the more it infuriated her. She wiped away her tears with determination. She was going to get through this. Somehow.

She looked at herself in the bathroom mirror. She was a mess. Enough of this she told herself. She was not going to get upset or worked up about anything anymore. She was going to be focused. She had to.

After a quick shower she called for the maids to help her into her evening gown. As they helped her into her dress one of them spoke, "The master isn't all that bad my lady. He actually is a very fair gentleman. The master has suffered a tragic loss and hence he appears the way he does."

Anica just smiled politely. She was thinking. She has to orchestrate this very carefully. If this failed Drake would never trust her again and lock her up somewhere and she would never get out. She would have to start by being polite. And that was a challenge enough for now. She could barely stand him for more than an hour or so.

The maids had finished dressing her. She took a last look at herself in the mirror. Her brown had been done up in a messy bun with a few curls hanging by her right ear. She had dark black mascara around her eyes making her skin look pale in comparison. She barely looked like herself. But she looked quite pretty, beautiful even.

She let out a nervous breath and made her was down. She poked her head into the dining hall. He wasn't there. She went from room to room in search of his majesty. She couldn't possibly gain his trust without him. She had looked into almost all the rooms on the west wing and decided to go down the east wing. As she hurried down the hallway she bumped into a tall figure.

"I'm sorry my lady. I was not aware of where I was going. My sincere apologies, I..."

Anica looked up into the very apologetic face of Caanan. She couldn't stop the blush that was slowly overtaking her. She was embarrassed by the redness in her cheeks. "Where have you been?"

"I'm sorry my lady, the lord has given me very specific orders with respect to you. I'm afraid we cannot see each other. It's for the best really."

"You don't really believe that crap now do you?" Only silence followed that.

"Jesus Caanan! Grow a pair will you! I'm getting out of here. Come with me? You wont have to take his shit anymore."

"Easier said than done My lady. I'm afraid I need to go now. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you seek to accomplish."

She eyed him as he left. After he was out of sight she went back to looking for Drake.

She decided that he would be his study. After asking around she found herself outside his door. Should I knock? Or should I not. If I knock he might ask me to leave. Then I wont get a chance to talk to him. She was overthinking this. Taking a deep breath she turned the knob and opened the door.
