Anica was sitting in her cell rocking back and forth. This is all just a dream. It'll end soon. She kept telling herself. Maybe I'll wake up. She just wanted it to end.

Edrick came back to tell her lunch was served.

"Please. The master would like to join you in your meal."

Or he wants to make a meal of me, she thought. Why did she have to be so stupid! HOW many times had her parent's warned her about getting into a stranger's vehicle.

She was escorted to a grand dining hall. Why did he even need a dinning hall?

She sat patiently. Waiting for him to come.

Suddenly she heard the large ebony doors open and he walked in as all his subjects bowed before him.

She stood. Just in case.

"Please. Sit." He said as he reached the table.

There was no conversation between them. She ate, and he watched her eat. Creepy.

The thought kept pinging in her head. Why would a VAMPIRE need a dining room!

"I have to ask. Why do you have a dinning room?"

"Well. This initially was a vampire feeding room, when my father was King. But after all the vampires left or died then this room held no further purpose. When I met Juliet I rebuilt it into a dinning hall where she could have her meals."

Driven by curiosity she asked "What was she like? Juliet."

"Oh. Well she was magnificent." His face seemed to light up when he spoke about her but at the same time he was sad, upset and heartbroken.

"She was absolutely breath taking. She was beautiful. She never complained about anything. She did as she was told. She had a beautiful smile. She was simply amazing."

"Hmm..." She said not really knowing what else to say.

The awkward silence returned and she began to move her food around in her plate.

"So tell me about yourself." Drake asked, trying to make conversation.

This brought a lot of treasured memories. She thought of all the people she loved all of whom she would never see again.

"I really want to go home." She said finally. Her voice was soft and almost inaudible.

"Please just let me go home." Tears began to fill her eyes. She hated feeling so helpless.

"I cant do that. You have to stay here."

"NO! I want to go home!"

Drake was beginning to get annoyed now.

"You are not to leave this palace."

Suddenly all her fear and helplessness dissapeared and she was consumed with anger. She  rose leave. She was filled with adrenaline and was not in the mood to let him tell her what to do.

Drake could not let her leave. He had waited far to long to let her go.

He was out of his seat and had pinned her against the wall before she could even take two steps.

"You are not allowed to leave. Are we clear."

Her face was angry. Adamant. He admired that. But her futile efforts to run away infuriated him. They were just getting along and she HAD to ruin it!

"You are never EVER going to leave."

"I hate you!"

He let her go. He nodded towards Edrick to take her away. He needed to calm down otherwise he might hurt her.
