"Hailey we're here." Hailey's mother announces like she can't see it herself. Hailey just crosses her arms and scoffs.
Her mom sighs in defeat and changes to Jordan. "See it Jordan?" Jordan - good girl of the bunch - nods, in retarded awe. Golden, almost orange blonde hair, on the border frizzy waves, childishly innocent face, rounded hazel eyes, and thin lips.
She always does what she's told and asked, before they even do. Jordan acts more like a mother than her actual one at times.
Hailey is different, and Jordan despises her.
Short hair that lays on her shoulders, blonde with brown roots that's in tight, beach waves, matching round eyes, full smile and a matured face, ready to take on any aspect of the world.
Hailey never did anything. She focused on jokes, cut classes, and partied as in her second life.
Much to Jordan's disgust, Hailey is 10 months older than her, so therfore, they're stuck in the same grade together. Hailey often called her the replacement child; as her mom getting pregnant at Hailey's one month old mark.
She always referred that in that one month, they already didn't like her enough so low and behold - Jordan Torrence.
Hailey, Jordan, and Rachel pulled in the lot of 1123 Pine Ln, in Detroit. Far, far away from their home in New Orleans.
"Welcome home girls." Rachel smiles, pushing the gears into park. Hailey was furious, this is not home to her. She's just been dragged from home. "Home, mom? That's bullshit. Home is in New Orleans."
Hailey shoves on her black 'Teenage Dirtbag' beanie, knowing that describes her to a T, rolling her eyes for added affect.
"How can you let her talk to you like that mom? Hailey, stop acting like you're too cool for this family for one second and look around. This is our new home, smart alec."
Jordan spins from her frontseat to glare at Hailey with the most anger she can muster. Hailey's eyes gleam and her facee crinkles up in amusement as she laughs.
"Smart alec? That's the best you can come up with? Why don't you call me by what you've wanting to for some time now; a bitch? Just say it, Jord'. I know you do. And actually, I would be home if I was with dad. But now I'm stuck here in Detroit, with you."
Hailey pushes her seatbelt and flees from the car and gets out, slamming the door in fustration. Nobody in this family understands her, well her dad did, at the most. And now she's pulled from him.
She tugs on the front door, which doesn't budge. Sighing in defeat, she flips her hair to the back and goes around, hopping the fence of her 'new house'. There, she finds her way in the house, and away from perfect Jordan and Rachel.
Rachel and Jordan watch from the windows before exiting the Escalade. Rachel touches Jordan's arm softly and lets her lean her head on her shoulder. "Back to her old ways huh?" Jordan whispers.
Rachel nods, and looks at the house sadly "I thought life was going to get better if we pulled the plug and started fresh. "

"Hailey!" Jordan screams from the frame of her door. She was getting mad that school starts in 20 minutes and Hailey was still not up. You could hear her faint snoring from afar.
Abruptly, that ends and you can see her eyes peek from the end of her blanket "What?" she groans, pulling it back up once she sees who it is. "School's in 20, and I do not want to be late for our first day." Jordan says mechanically before leaving.
"Jesus Jord', coulda said don't instead of do not." Hailey says mostly to herself, and not Jordan.
Then, Hailey lifts herself out of bed and tosses on her matching black with white letters 'Teenage Dirtbag' sweatpants, sweatshirt, and she ruffles her hair before adding the beanie with the same credentials. Lastly, she adds black and white Vans, small amounts of makeup, cinnamon perfume, and a cinnamon breathmint.
Ever since she was little, Hailey loved anything cinnamon. She thought it represented who she is, and now it's a last reminder of her dad, who got her into it.
Already, she didn't care how she looked or how the Teenage Dirtbag theme announced who'd they be dealing with, she already doesn't care about school. She just wants to impress and get to all the parties.
Hopefully, there's one tonight.
"HAILEY!" Jordan shouts again, more impatient. Hailey mimics her in grumbling defense and pockets her phone and headphones before dragging downstairs.
Jordan was standing in the kitchen, car keys in hand, other hand on her hip. She's dressed in lightly fit skinny jeans, a black tanktop, plaid button down, and beat up converse.
Hailey stifles a laugh and skips out on breakfast, leaning to the Starbucks cup with her name on it. "C'mon Jord', don't wanna be late." she snatches the keys from her hand and smirks.
They share a car, which arrived earlier this morning, an all black 2015 Nissan Rogue at Hailey's request. Actually, it was Hailey's car, but Jordan uses it at her leisure. Especially since her 2011 white Ford Focus isn't here yet.
"Why are you driving?" Jordan whines, once again proving her childishness. Hailey rolls her eyes "This is my car hon', unfortunately we have to drive together until your old thing arrives. And until then, my car; I drive."
How did Hailey get the newest car you can get? Jordan wanted a car the moment she turned sixteen like a prissy brat and they could only afford a two year old car. Hailey, on the other hand didn't, she saved up and split costs right before she was dragged to New Orleans for a newly released car.
Hailey was close to turning 18, and Jordan was barely 17. Hailey's usually the oldest in her classes because she had medical conditions when she was younger which forced her to start late, but she never talks about those conditions.
She calls it the weak point of her life and refuses to let anybody know. She uses the excuse of flunking out a grade, to add to her badass school streak. But another secret, Hailey's very smart, borderline top of the class.
"Into Betthy you go darling." Hailey smiles dangerously at Jordan, sliding into the driver's seat and sets her coffee cup down to start up her car. Jordan sighs and gets in the passenger side "Why did you name your car Betthy, with two T's?" she asks. Hailey rolls her eyes.
"Why'd you name yours Ginger?" she retorts. No answer. "To school we go."
