Chapter 14

I've been gone three weeks now everyday I've received many messages and calls from Lucy, Jacob and some of my family, but I haven't bothered to read or reply to any because it would have made it worse.

I pull onto the driveway of my house, switching the engine off I climb out and take my duffel bag with me, walking up to the front door I pull out my key and just as I was about to put it in the door swings open and standing there is none other than my uncle Carlos aunt Sophia and cousin Aiden all are stood there with the same looks on their faces.

Smiling at them I walk passed them and straight to my room, closing and locking the door behind me.

Unpacking my clothes, I ignore the constant banging on my door of people trying to talk to me, after unpacking my things I head into the bathroom for a shower, taking off all my clothes and the bandage from round my waist I step into the steaming hot shower washing myself in lavender and strawberries shampoo and conditioner and a body wash too.

After a long wash I switch off the shower grabbing a towel from the rack I wrap it tightly round my body, stepping out I walk over to the bathroom sink, grabbing the hair brush I brush and blow dry my hair, then afterwards I clean re-bandage the wound on my stomach, then I leave the bathroom and head to my wardrobe.

As I step into my bedroom I jump in fright as I see Jacob stood at the end of my bed Jacob you scared the hell out of me" raising a hand to my chest, I thought I was going to die of a heart attack.

Straightening myself out I looked at him "what are you doing here?" Knowing really why he's here "where have you been, I, I mean Lucy has been worried sick about you< you've been gone for three weeks what happened, why did you run off like that?" He looks at me with real concern in his eyes.

"So you didn't care where I was then?" looking behind him out the window, "no, I mean yes I was worried else I wouldn't have sent you those messages and called you that many times" a small smile came onto my face, looking back at him I straighten myself again.

"If that is all you can go ill call Lucy in a bit" I try to walk past him to go to my wardrobe but I doesn't work he just kept blocking me "can we talk about what happened" I look at him knowing too well what he was on about, "it doesn't matter, forget I said anything" I try again to get past but it's no use.

He grabs hold of my waist pulling me to his chest "it does matter, what if I said I'm falling in love with you too?" My eyes widen "what?" He smiles "Lexi, I'm falling in love with you" my smile grows bigger and bigger and a blush creeps onto my face "now to make it official" I look at him confused, he steps away from me then gets down on one knee.

I just freeze, he can't ask me to marry him I'm only seventeen and he's nineteen this can't happen, I open my mouth to speak but he beats me to it, pulling out a velvet box he says "Lexi Rodriguez will you be my girlfriend?" He opens the box to reveal a diamond necklace, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, "yes" I gave I'm a simple answer only because I didn't reply straight away and I could see he was getting worried.

A smile appeared on his face he stood up walking round the back of me he took the necklace out the box and put it on my neck, walking back round he stood right in front of me, his face inches away from mine "thank you it's beautiful" biting my lips at the end.

"No problem, anything for my girl" I smile, he begins leaning closer I could smell his minty breath on my lips, just as our lips were about to touch another bang came from the other side off my door causing us to jump away from each other in fright, taking a breath I look at Jacob, only to see him looking at my body, looking down I see that the towel has ridden up showing off more thigh than it should of.
