Opal's POV

I stepped out of the shower and swiped up my towel, wrapping it around me. My eyes swept the small bathroom quietly as I gripped the towel tighter. I began to dry myself off, finally. Then I got dressed into my prepared clothing; a tight white shirt that showed no higher than my belly button and a pair of black and white gym shorts.

I walked out of my bathroom after dressing and sat on my bed, holding my black all star converse. Carefully, I put on my plain black socks. Then I slipped on my converse, and swiftly made a double-knot.

And then I drove to school. I wonder what today's gonna be like..

NOBODY'S POV

Bradley leaned against Opal's locker, waiting for her to arrive to school. A few minutes later, Opal appeared out of the crowd. She looked at him quietly as she approached. "Um.. Hi, Bradley..?" She said, looking around as she spoke. Bradley huffed.
"Is it that surprising for me to be here?" He asked, rolling his eyes and blowing a piece of hair out of his eyes. Opal nodded slowly. "Yeah, kind of."

Bradley sighed, "I thought we made up?" Opal's lips slowly twisted into a smile. "Yep, we did!"

Bradley wiped nonexistent sweat off his forehead. "Woo.. I thought you had lost your memory!" He said. Opal tilted her head slightly, and giggled quietly. "No, how would that happen?" She chuckled. "You're such a silly fool!"
Bradley blushed slightly, grinning wolfishly. "I know." He purred. "Anyways.. Wanna skip with me?" Opal blinked quietly, seeming to think about it. She hummed, her eyes venturing to the ceiling. "Err.. Sure, we only live once, after all!" She said, meeting Bradley's eyes again. "Woo!" He cheered, grabbing her hand and walking out of the building.

Bradley and Opal walked for quite some time before they reached a park. They entered it, and Opal halted. She gaped. In every corner of the park, pink and red roses sat. Pretty cherry blossom trees made a straight four way path. A pond sat in the west corner of the park, where swans and geese rested. "This is amazing," Opal said, in awe. Bradley grinned at her, his brown eyes letting her blue ones.
"Isn't it?" Bradley asked. Opal nodded, studying the scenery. She began to approach the pond. Bradley watched her for a few seconds before following her. "Like it?" He asked. Opal looked at him, a light pink dusting her cheeks. "Like? More like love!" She squealed, her blue eyes sparkling.
Bradley stared into her eyes quietly as she grinned. Slowly, he leaned closed to her. Opal's smile slowly faded as he grew only a few centimeters from her face. He leaned over, his lips brushing the corners of hers. Opal gasped, flinching away. "Oh, um.. I'm gonna go check out the flowers."

Opal blushed lightly, her eyes watching her feet as she sauntered towards the flowers. Bradley just stared at where she was once standing, his mouth clamped shut. A warm tear slid down his cheek.
"Idiot.." He whispered.

BRADLEY'S POV

I stared at where Opal once stood, my mouth clamped shut. I felt a warm liquid slide down my cheek. Tears. "Idiot.." I said to myself, my voice a mere whisper.
We had only made up yesterday, and I had expected her to kiss me. What an idiot. She probably hates me.

Why do I try the impossible?

OPAL'S POV

"Oh, um.. I'm gonna go check out the flowers.." I said as I flinched away. Quickly, I turned and sprinted to the east corner, watching my feet as I ran. He tried to kiss me.
I stopped as I reached the flowers, placing my hands on my knees. I glanced behind me. Bradley stood in the same spot, staring at where I once stood. "His lips touched.." I mumbled softly, tracing where his lips nudged mine. My blue eyes squeezed shut as tears threatened to spill.
"Why did I run.." I whimpered as one slipped onto my cheek. "Idiot.." I said.

The following week..

Nobody's POV

Opal walked to school, dressed in a casual outfit. She wore a pretty pink flower shirt with baby blue jeans that had a rip at the knee. She wore her slightly darker pink pair of converse. She felt a vibration from her side purse and immediately knew it was her phone. Opal looked into the dark voids of her purse as her petite hands searched for her phone.
Suddenly, she ran into a wall, and fell on her butt. Opal hissed, rubbing her aching hindquarters. She looked up, seeing Bradley staring at her with worried eyes. He suddenly reached out to help her. Opal flinched out of the trance, snarling at him as she stood.

Bradley pulled his hand back slowly as she shot him a glare. "Woah, what's that black stuff below your eyes?" He asked.
He had spotted the eye liner stains from the previous nights. Opal had cried herself to sleep that night.
"None of your business!" She said, quickly hiding her face. "Screw off!"

Bradley stared at her, before a smirk formed on his lips. "Someone surfing the crimson wave?" He teased. Opal grunted, "Go away.."
"Pardon, you ran into me." Bradley reminded. Opal lifted her face out of hiding, and shot him the deadliest glare. "I don't need reminders!" She barked, kicking him in the spot where the sun don't shine. He groaned in pain.

"Ahh! That fucking hurt! Why'd you do that?" Bradley whined, clutching himself as he fell to the ground.
"Cause for one, you teased me about the.. Monthly ritual. For two, you reminded me of running into you. And for three, you tried kissing me!!" Opal spat.
Bradley stared at her. "You know you wanted it too." He said.

Opal shook her head. "Sorry, but no."

"Sorry, but you did. It was proven by the way you acted.."

Opal rolled her eyes, "ugh.. I'm going to school. Bye, Bradley."

"We have three classes together, though! See you soon, sweet cheeks." Bradley called after her. Opal would only groan in response.
She loved him, but she hated him at the same time.
