Opal's POV

I sat in my chair, listening to the teacher list out the rules for the fifth time this week. "Opal, are you listening?" Ms. Richards barked.
I looked up from my book, my eyes wide and alert. "Ma'am?" I stuttered nervously. Ms. Richards glared at me. "I said, are you listening? I'm going over the rules! You should be listening!" She hissed.
I flinched at how angry and loud her voice grew with each word. "Yes ma'am!" I said loudly. Ms. Richards lifted her hands, pointing to the door and growling, "Out."
I frowned, and gathered my items. Slowly, I walked out of the room. Ms. Richards had never enjoyed my presence, and she still didn't.
I can't believe I'm going to the principal's office.

Suddenly, I bumped into a large figure, and fell onto my butt. I looked up, seeing (surprise!) Bradley.

I heaved a sigh, and lifted myself off the ground. I started to walk past him when suddenly, my wrist was captured by his strong hands. I whirled around, shocked by his strength. "Opal, can we please talk?"
I looked away from him, my blue eyes half lidded. "Opal, please?" Bradley pleaded. I turned my head just enough to peek at him. He was frowning, his eyes glassy.
"..Fine.." I mumbled.

Bradley grinned and lead me to an unoccupied classroom. I blinked, "How do you always find empty spots for us to talk?" Bradley replied with a shrug, "No idea."

"Anyways.. What do you want." I said. It wasn't much of a question, more like a command. Bradley's smile faded. "I wanna.. Express my feelings, I guess."
I huffed. "I knew you were gonna say that. Alright, spill!" I said. Bradley fidgeted with his fingers, blushing furiously. "Okay. Um.. Opal. I really, really like you. Remember when you had that crush? He was the reason I got Val on you. I were so jealous and couldn't stand the thought of you being with someone else. I'm so sorry. You're my soulmate though, and I love you. Like.. A lot! And.. I want you to forgive Me.. And possibly be my girlfriend.."

By the time he finished talking, I was beet red. Bradley hummed nervously, glancing up at me. Finally, I grew normal once again. "I'm glad you feel that way.. Because.. I like you too!"
I grabbed Bradley's face in my hands and smashed my lips onto his soft, moist ones. My cheeks burned with embarrassment as I pulled away, and looked at my feet.

"Anyway.. Um.. O- Opal. Do you poss- possibly wanna go out With me?" Bradley asked. I looked up after processing his words. "Umm.."

BRADLEY'S POV

I frowned. She was hesitating. Suddenly, Opal looked up, and pressed her lips together tightly. She let out a short hum. "Umm.." I huffed sadly. "I knew you'd say no." I murmured. Opal's eyes were wide as I looked down.
"You didn't even let me reply.." Said Opal softly. I looked up quietly, "What were you gonna say?" Opal smiled. "I'm glad you're listening now."
I fidgeted under her icy gaze. "I were gonna say.." She's making me wait. Beginning to get impatient, I furrowed my eyebrows. Opal smirked at my impatience.

"Yes."

I looked up in surprise, earning a small giggle from Opal. "Did I hear correctly?" I asked. "Did you just say yes?"
Opal nodded. "Sure didn't say no! After all, I kissed you!" She chuckled. I grinned. I was so happy.
She had accepted me.
She didn't turn me down.
Opal is my girlfriend now!

I pulled her into a hug swiftly, breathing in her scent of roses and whipped cream. Mmm.. Whipped cream..

Not a time to be thinking of food, Bradley.

Opal chuckled and pulled away, "Bradley, I know you're excited, but don't you think you should stop moving towards my ass?" I blushed. "Oh, s- sorry!" I shrieked, noticing my hands were on her thighs.

Opal smiled sweetly at me as I moved my hands to my sides. "Alright! Where are we going for our date?" She asked. I blinked before processing her words. "Oh! Um.. The movies..? Or.. Or.. A restaurant? Where do you wanna go?"
Opal shrugged, "Honestly don't give a shit."

"Oh.. Any food preference?" I asked. Opal's eyes wandered to the ceiling as she seemed to hesitate. "Um.. Chinese!"

My eyes sparked with excitement. "I love Chinese food," I said happily. Opal smiled, "I have the perfect restaurant then." I titled my head slightly, signaling her to go on. "It's called The China Flower."
I huffed. "Is there anything we don't have in common? I love that place! Best food ever." Suddenly, Opal's eyes flickered to the door, full of shock. My eyes traced her line of sight, and shock ran through my veins.

There they stood in the doorway, wide smirks on their faces. Their eyes stared coldly into ours, sending chills down my spine. "What's popping, Brads? Got a girlfriend, hmm?" Val said. I felt anger ignite in my eyes.
"What do you want, Val?" I hissed angrily. Val and Nikki exchanged glances, their smirks never leaving. "We just wanna go back to the old days.." He glanced at a trembling Opal.
"And.. Have a little fun." I glared at him. Opal's hand suddenly gripped the tail of my shirt as she his behind me.

"What'd you do to her?!" I snapped, taking a step forward. Val rolled his eyes and huffed. "Me? I didn't do anything. You should be asking her that." He said. I glanced back at Opal quietly. "What are you talking about.." I muttered.
"She came over last night and ranted about how you had kissed her out of the blue, and how much she hates you. Then, she pushed me onto the bed and.. Well, you can guess the rest. Real steamy." Val explained, a flicker in his eyes that I couldn't quite make out.

Rage ran through my veins as I turned to a wide eyed Opal. "It's n- not tr- true!" She stuttered quickly, fear clear in her eyes. "Opal. Is he telling the truth?!" I yelled.
Opal flinched away from me, and bumped into the wall.

"Ye- No! M- maybe.. No!" She whispered, clearly nervous.
I glared angrily into her eyes, raising a hand. I heard Val walk up next to me, feeling his warm breath on my ear. "Hot and steamy.. She enjoyed it too.. Do it." He whispered. Suddenly, a loud smack echoed in the room. Opal fell to the floor crying, a deep gash in her cheek. Blood ran from the wound.
My hands laid stiffly by my sides as I stared at her in horror. I just slapped my girlfriend. "All lies.." Val said, triggering me. I whipped around and punched him. "Opal's right, you two DID corrupt me!"

Opal's crying faded as I turned back to her with pleading eyes. "I'm so sorry.." I whispered, crouching next to her and pulling her into a warm hug. "It's okay.. I'm gonna go home and get ready for the date.. I'll see you later. Love you, Bradley.." She replied, standing and walking out of the room.

At least she forgave me and decided to continue the date. I'll see her there, then!

End..
