My mom sighed and motioned me towards her.
"Yes. It is another business trip."
"Since our promotions we've had to travel a tad bit more." My dad said, zipping his suitcase up.
"Where are you going now?" I asked with my arms crossed.
"Japan." My mom said.
"Japan!?"
"Your father and I's enterprise is interested in foreign business and expanding world wide. Us along with two other people have been sent on these trips. The more business trips, the more money we make."
I sighed.
"How long will you be gone?"
"Only a month. Just like last time."
"Does Sophie know?"
"Yes. We told her before she went to her sleepover."
I looked over at Ethan and rolled my eyes.
"Why is he here again?"
"Be polite Ciara, and Sophie recommended that we hire Ethan again. Is it a problem?"
Me and Ethan looked at each other and I sighed.
"I guess not."
My mom smiled.
"Great. Now give me a hug before I leave."
I hugged her and my dad before they headed out the door. After they left, Grayson hugged me and also headed out. After everyone left, it was just me and Ethan in the house. I walked into the kitchen nonchalantly and opened the fridge. I saw Ethan walk in but I didn't say anything.
"Not even a hi?" He said, leaning against the counter.
I sighed and closed the fridge.
"Hi Ethan."
"You look good today."
"Thanks. Grayson said the same thing." I smirked.
He rolled his eyes.
"Why did you even accept my moms offer to babysit again?"
"You heard her, Sophie requested that I babysit again. Why would I turn down your adorable little sisters request?"
"Because it's kind of awkward living with your ex for a month."
"Not for me. Is it awkward for you?" He said, walking closer to me.
I looked up at him and bit my lip.
"No."
"Good." He smiled, walking away.
I sighed, and sat down in the living room. Soon I headed upstairs and sat in my room. I was on my laptop whe I noticed Ethan in my doorway.
"Is there something you want?" I asked, still typing on my laptop.
"You." He winked.
I sighed and looked down.
"Don't you have a girlfriend?"
"You mean, Ashley. I'd barely call her a girlfriend. More of a close acquaintance, and we're not together anymore."
Did you cheat on her too. I thought to myself.
"I didn't." He said, leaning against the doorway.
I looked down, embarrassed that I said that out loud.
"I decided that I still had a girl that I wanted." He said.
I looked up with interest.
"Who?"
He looked down.
"I can't tell you."
"Why not? Can't you describe her?"
He looked up.
"You really wanna know?"
"Yeah. Describe her."
"If I describe her. You'll instantly know who I'm talking about."
Inside..I knew he was talking about me.
"Just spill it Dolan."
He sighed nervously.
"It's.....Winter.."
My eyes widened and a disappointed look spread across my face.
"W-winter!?"
He nodded.
"Yeah. I mean..sure she's Nate's girlfriend but still..."
I was still super surprised.
"I mean, she's cute, funny, she has an amazing body..."
I rolled my eyes as he continued to list all the reasons he liked her. Once he was done he just looked up at me, as if he was looking for a reaction. My face was slightly red and he noticed. He randomly started laughing as he stood in the doorway.
I raised an eyebrow.
"Why are you laughing?"
"You looked so disappointed just now. I don't really like Winter, I just wanted to see your reaction. Were you hoping it was you, C?" He smiled.
I rolled my eyes and scoffed.
"No."
"Yeah you were. You don't have to lie. It's only us here." He smirked.
"I don't have any more feelings for you. Get that through your head. All my feelings died when you slept with another girl." I said, walking out of my room.
He looked hurt for a minute but his cocky smirk soon returned as he watched me walk downstairs.
"Say what you want, but messing around with my brother isn't gonna change your feelings for me. No mater how hard you try."
I rolled my eyes and sighed. This is gonna be one hell of a month.
