Chp. 17

*a month later*

I was woken up by a buzz from my phone. I groaned and picked it up.

😜Gray😜: Wanna hang out later😄??

Me: Why are you up so early😴

😜Gray😜: It's 1'o clock😂

Me: Oh😂

😜Gray😜: U slept in again

Me: Yep

😜Gray😜: Well there's this new restaurant opening downtown, I was wondering if you wanted to go🍴?

Oh, wait. Let's give you an update on how my life's been. Winter, Rebecca, Nate, and Alex are my closest group of friends now and Grayson is my bestfriend. We've been hanging out 24/7. As for me and Ethan...I haven't really talked to him. He texted me and called me alot after we left the cabin but the more I ignored it the less he did it. Now we don't talk, and he has a girlfriend. So, that's my update.
I answered Grayson's text.

Me: Sure😊. I'm down to try new restaurants

😜Gray😜: Great😄. I'll pick you up around 7'

I had some time to waste, so I decided to clean and catch up on some Netflix. Soon, I started to get ready. I showered and got dressed.

At exactly 7'o clock, my doorbell rang. I smiled as I walked downstairs and opened the front door.

Grayson smiled as I opened it.
"You ready?"

I nodded.
"Yep."

"We should get going, we might be late for our reservations."

I raised an eyebrow.
"Reservation. How fancy."

He laughed as we walked to the car. As we pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant, it looked extremely fancy. He opened the door so I could get out and we walked into the restaurant and got seated. As we looked at our menu's a familiar voice rang from in front of us. We looked up to see Ethan and his girlfriend standing in front of us.

I sighed as Grayson looked up to see Ethan walking towards our table.
"Hey Gray, I didn't know you were gonna be here with...Ciara..." He said, with his girlfriend at his shoulder.

We locked eyes for a minute but I looked back down at the menu and ignored him.

"Mind if we sit?"

Grayson shrugged.
"Sure. Ciara?"

I shrugged also.
"Sure."

He smiled as him and his girlfriend sat across from us. As we ordered, I could see Ethan glancing at me from the corner of my eye. Ethan and Grayson were talking, and me and Ethan's girlfriend kinda sat there awkwardly.

Grayson noticed and he whispered to me.
"Is this awkward for you?"

"It's fine." I whispered back.

He smiled and looked back up.
"I'll be back. I'm gonna go to the restroom."

Ethan's girlfriend also had to use the bathroom. It was just me and Ethan sitting at table.

An awkward silence came but he stopped it.
"You're quiet tonight."

"Yep." I said, looking down at my phone.

"We haven't talked in awhile.."

I sighed and looked up at him.
"We haven't."

"So how are yo-" We said at the same time. We smiled and looked down.

"Uh, how are you and your girlfriend?"

"We're fine. She's amazing."

"I bet she is.." I mumbled lightly.

"What?"

I looked up at him.
"I didn't say anything."

"Oh..well how are you?"

"I'm fine. Life's....normal.."

He nodded.
"You've been hanging out with Grayson alot."

"Yeah. He's pretty fun to hang out with."

Before Ethan could say anything, his girlfriend and Grayson came back and sat down.

Ethan's P.O.V.

I looked across the booth at Grayson and Ciara giggling, and instantly became jealous.

My girlfriend, Ashley, tapped me.
"You ready to go."

I sighed and nodded. The only reason I'm with her was to get over Ciara, and make her jealous. Deep down...I just wanted her to be mine again....
