The Demon Hybrid Life

-Chapter 7-

My mum was home. Alive and well.
We were a family again.

I look up from my book to see the young ones running around playing tag and engaging in the commonly known game of hide and seek.
I see the teens 13-15 laughing and talking about who they think is cute. The teens 15-19 are gossioing and conversating about parties they plan on attending.
I look a smidge to my left to see the love of my life Nathan, play fighting with his students during training. He looks so cute, im so glad he's in my life.
My bestfriends are off with their lovers. Beasil met her "love" Javontae towards the begginging of the school year.
Kayko and Zach ahve been dating for almost two years now.

The sun beating down upon my face. I breath in, smelling the freahly mowed grass.

Everyone was happy.

Yet im here sitting on the porch to the pack house, trapped in my thoughts.
I cant seem to figure out why i'm stuck in this seemingly never ending trance. I sense my mum coming and I quickly close my book and walk down the stairs to her.

Me: "Hey mum"

I smile.

Mum: "what'a wrong"?

Me: "what do you mean"?

Mum: "I can sense something wrong Diamond"

I sighed.

Me: "I dont know, maybe because youre here, everyone is happier than ever, yet I dont know understand one thing about you"

I put my head down, I figured it out. Im in this trance because I need answers I dont have.

Mum: "What"?

I could feel pain in my chest. I couldn't figure it out, all I did was teleport home. In my room I hypervintalate.
My mum teleports in my room and looks at me.

Mum: "What is it"

I cant help but cry, the pain is to great.
I look up at her.

Me: "......why didn't you come back......back home, to me and papa"?

Mum: "I thought it was best I stayed away....I didnt know this hurt you so much".

Me: "WHAT"!

Im in full blown tears

Me: "IT WASNT GOOD, I DIDNT HAVE A MUM FOR SEVEN YEARS. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SHIT I GOT FOR THAT. RUMORS WENT AROUND IT WAS MY FAULT AND I BELIEVED THEM"!

She didnt move, her mouth hanging open.
I wipe my tears and I ran out of my room and the house.

She teleports infront of me.

"Diamond....".

My wings emerge, I push off of the ground and fly high into the air. I fly higher and higher til I pass the clouds.

I stop.

I start to fall, I did not mind.

The song "Lost Cause" by Imagine Dragins play in my head.

I still fall. Mum catches me, my wings dissapear and I fly without them. I push away from her and hover.

Mum: "Your wings..."

I said nothing

She sighed

Mum: "I know that youre hurt that ive stayed away all this long, that I left and didnt come back. I just thought it would be best, what with me being...me but,"

She starts to approach me and put her hand on my cheek.

Mum: "Im sorry, would you give me another chance to be in your life, morgans life. Forever"?

Tears fall again and I hug her.

Me: "Yes"!

She was estatic

Mum: "THEN LET US FALL"

She stops hovering and falls.
I fall aswell, we spin and twirl, laughing and smiling.
