"Are you ready to see the apartment we are going to be living in for the next couple years?" All I could do was nod

The drive to the apartment was full of me blaring out whatever song was on the radio while Justin occasionally humming along, smiling as we drove through the massive city that is London. The men and women in suits everywhere, running to their next meeting. Barely avoiding colliding with a teenager that is walking along the street alone. This city is mad, much like New York, it never sleeps.

After the long journey from the airport to the apartment, i was so excited to see the apartment. The complex isn't that big, around 10 storey tall with two apartments on each level.

"Put this on." Justin says, handing me a blindfold. I give him a questioning look before agreeing and placing the blindfold over my head and covering my eyes. I feel the car come to a stop. I feel Justin leave the car and open the door next to me. "Give me your hand, don't worry. You can trust me." I give him my hand, and i feel myself being guided, more like being pulled, by Justin.

I know i'm inside the complex when the autumn wind disappears and i am surrounded by warmth. "Justin, can i take the blindfold off now?" I ask, hating to not see where i'm going. I feel hands going behind the back of my head, removing the blindfold.

It takes a couple of seconds for my eyes to adjust to the bright lights that is the the foyer. The place was beautiful. There is a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, diamonds arching out into a inward arch before circling just below a circle of candles surrounding it. It was illuminated the whole room, giving it a vibe that was welcoming. There were four plants located in each corner of the room and a elevator to the left hand side.

Justin takes me to the elevator and presses level 5. He just smiles at me before the doors close and we go up. We stay in a comfortable silence while the lift goes up. The doors opens on level 5 and then Justin practically pushes me out of the elevator. I go to hit him but he moves out of the way and just smirks at me. He opens the door on the left and nods at me to go through.

The moment i step inside, Amazing. Amazing was the first thing that came to mind as I looked around me in amazement. The apartment was quite nice. Scratch that. No it was beautiful! It seem to be... a condo kind of. The walls were a crisp white, matching the door, though it was kind of dirty. This caused me to roll my hazel eyes playfully. I pushed a piece of my hair away from my eyes, looking around. I had the feeling that it was because they didn't clean much, typical of Justin.

I smile as i walk around the apartment, the smell of old pizza was erupting from the kitchen. I guess Justin didn't want me to know that he hasn't had chance to clean the apartment. I keep walking around, admiring everything. From the small electric fire that is in the living room to the family photos on the mantelpiece.

One photo in particular made me smile. It was a photo of me and Justin at the beach in Cornwall. We were both smiling like it was the happiest moment of our lives. This was the last time we all went on holiday that wasn't a business trip. I remember it like it was yesterday. How bright mum and dad's smiles were. Taking photos of everything me and Justin did. We even got a surprise visit from our local seals. We took so many photos that day and it was the happiest I've ever seen mum and dad.

Now they are never together, either mum's in America or Paris doing a fashion show or dad is in Australia setting up new homes. Father is a estate agent so he goes to different towns and cities trying to sell different houses to anyone who will listen. This always requires him to stay up late, speaking to different clients about what is good about the area and showing them around. I see why he is an estate agent because it is easy to say yes to him because his natural charm and forwardness makes him irresistible. Mum and dad are complete opposites but as they say, opposites attract.

Justin coughs just behind me, removing me from the memory. I feel something roll down my cheek, i don't bother wiping it away. My vision becomes blurry and I felt more and more tears rolling down my face. I turn to face Justin, his eyes were red and puffy. He must have thought of the same memory as I did.

I move in to hug him, which he gladly accepts and opens his arms. I tighten my grip on him for a second before backing out of the hug. "Let's show you to your room." Justin says, wiping the remaining tears on his cheeks.

I'm so sorry it took me a month to update. I had a little bit of writers block when writing about the memory.

I will try update before New Year (hello 2017), but if not, Happy New Year!
