Chapter 1: The Kidnapping

Element Girl sighs as she goes into her room that Ray made separately but has a door to join the rooms if they need the other's help or assurance that they're fine, she slipped her mask off and rubbed her eyes, keeping the lights dimmed as she changed into civilian clothes and crashed on her bed for a few hours letting Speedy handle the afternoon shift since Ray and Red X were off on their own, Ray working a job with a game company as a programmer, Jason was actually working on his high school diploma.

The siren goes off as Speedy sounds the alert and Element Girl quickly changes back and runs over to the computer looking at the coordinates for Speedy when the power flickers and she curses, luckily it only happened when the others weren't in the house, Ray had sacrificed her powers to keep the place up and running since they were having money problems.

Element Girl hit the computer and it fixed and Speedy was yelling "WHY IS TWO-FACE EVEN IN TEXAS?!"

Ray tuned in and said, on her Bluetooth that she always wore to work since she was in charge of managing meetings as well as programming games, "This is technically the second largest state so... gotta go, my boss is here."

With that, she tuned out of the frequency and Speedy was cussing under his breath as he shot at something that didn't have a tracker, Element Girl disappeared into the ground and reappeared next to Speedy and made a shield from iron to block a bomb from destroying a building and quickly uses water to get the civilians out of the war zone that was happening with Two-Face.

Speedy grabbed his side and said, "Give them-"

Ray jumped in while wearing her suit and yelled "Language!"

"Really Ray, really? I was already planning that, honey."

"What were you even quoting that time, Sparky?"

Ray whacked the back of Speedy's head lightly while growling as Element Girl snickered slightly as another bomb came at them and Ray shot it with a bullet, making it explode above their heads before she traveled to the middle of Two-Face's troops that work in pairs and hit three of them at once with her bo staff, "OOPS, LOOKS LIKE I MISS COUNTED, WHAT YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT, HARV?!"

She received a good blow to the head from behind and got stunned for a few seconds before starting to use a fighting stance similar to Red X, but swifter and a scare tactical version of it, that was working for the two hundred goon army, for a while.

Element Girl started fighting while keeping a hand out towards Speedy who's side was bleeding, not severely, but enough to be in pain even though he continued to fight, shooting a few goons down as he tried to slow the bleeding with a cloth he had for such situations.

"What are these guys made out of?!"

"I thought you knew, Speedy!"

"Can't I just send them to somewhere over the rainbow? Or does it have to be a double rainbow for Two-Face?"

A cackle was heard right before Nightwing landed next to Ray and they fight together as she growled while pulling him out of the way of a bullet and hits the dude before he could shoot at them again.

Element Girl moved Speedy and herself to higher ground so he can aim better and she can help determine how many left, she frowns as she catches sight of Two-Face with someone she didn't recognize, she looked closer now and wrote a description of the lady down before she started using the elements to take down enemies about to hurt Ray and Nightwing.

Ray slipped into the darkness to get closer to Two-Face and the strange woman when a new person appeared from behind her and got her in a choke hold while holding a device that protected him from Element Girl's powers as Ray hit the person as she ran out of oxygen.

She fell to the ground and was limp as Nightwing was forced away from her by the enemies.

Element Girl still couldn't use her powers to save Ray as she was carried to the woman from earlier and Klarion teleported them away, leaving the heroes frozen in place or fighting without knowing what has just happened.

"RAY?!?!?!?!?!?!"

Element Girl falls to her knees and tears stream down her face, fearing the worst for her sister, and all of the enemies are wiped out by a small tornado that forms as her anger and frustration grows more intense as they are taken to Arkham Asylum.

"Sweety, Ray is tougher than she may seem, they wouldn't just take her when the boy could've killed her right then and there."

Speedy gently places an arm around Element Girl's shoulders, she turns to cry into his shoulder as Nightwing grapples up to the roof they're on, a grim look on his face already, but when he sees Element Girl crying he is full on bat glaring the ground and starts to pull at his hair.
