He lost track of how long he was there, but it was long after the sun had gone down. When he father finally comes up the stairs, demanding that he leave, Hyrin hugs Chanyeol tightly. He hugs her back instantly, overjoyed that she responded before him. But his happiness is instantly diminished when he feels her crying.
"Hey, what's wrong?" he asks, stroking her hair.
"I don't want you to leave," she snivels.
"I have to go," he tells her gently, "I'll come back tomorrow, I promise."
"That's too l-far away," she whispers sorrowfully.
"Im sorry Hyrin," he responds, rocking her back and forth as she cries.
Eventually, her quick gasps of breath slow to a steady pace. She had fallen asleep. He lays her down and kisses her hairline, before using her memo pads to leave a note.
'Please make sure you eat, I brought chicken noodle soup. I'll be back after school. I love you.'
