The Phone Call

So Marina isn't the murder. So that leaves, Toby, Johnathan, Katherine, Sally and me. But I know for a fact, I didn't kill any of those people.  But that's the crazy part! I just cant figure it out! Johnathan right now is my main suspect. Or maybe Sally, possibly Toby? But I know for a fact that Katherine is just an innocent bystander. Hopefully, that is.

It was around the time I should be sleeping, but I just couldn't. What if I never woke up? What if Katherine was murdered and I couldn't have done anything about it? And poor Johnathan seems as if he's about to blow up. And don't get me started on Marina. She's been through a roller coaster of emotions the past year and this probably didn't make the top of her list.
Breaking me out of my thoughts, a loud bell rang through the hall. A cell phone? A cell phone! I ran for the hall and looked for where was coming from. But Toby beat me to it, Katherine right behind him. Sally came out of her room rubbing her eyes through her masquerade mask. And Marina came out of a door that didn't have the same cloud carvings in it like the rest of the bedroom doors. Johnathan was no where to be seen. I looked over at Toby and he looked around as he picked up the 1960's styled phone.
"Hello?" He said. He then went pale. "B-bye." He put down the phone. His conversation lasted about 10 seconds.
"The host wants us to go to the bathroom connected to the living room. Sally went first, she quickly lead us to a big brown door like she had been there a moment before.
But when she stepped inside she screamed to the top of her lungs. I came in there behind her, fortunately it was spacious enough to fit 10 people. But then I looked down.

Johnathan. He was on the floor, he died the same way Lauren died. He was stabbed. A sob escaped from my throat and I surprisingly feel to my knees.
"J-Johnathan?" I looked up at the people behind me.
"This had to be the host." My voice grew louder and more angry. It was almost like Johnathan's temper was passed down to me. "Who else could it have been! HE knew Johnathan would be here! HE knew there was a murder attending the party! He knew because it was ALL him." Tears rolled down my cheeks and I slowly got up. But then I wiped them away with aggravation. "I will find him if it's the last thing I do!"
I stormed out of the bathroom and back into the guest room. But then I noticed there was something on my bed, a crumpled up piece of paper. Was that there before? I unfolded it and plopped on the bed.

Miss McCarthy,
Your close but your wrong! I'm not the murderer, I had someone else do my dirty work! Which of course you could argue is just as bad but that's not the point! The point is, one of the guest among you is killing all the people around you. Good luck! It's a tough one.

-Host.

Chills ran up and down my spine.

Mental Notes:
Sally was half asleep during the murder.
Toby seemed way to close to the phone like he was waiting for it.
Marina was in a strange room.

Sorry this chapter was so short! I had to write it 3 times since it kept resetting :(
