I rushed to the door and started banging on it.
"Help!" I screamed. No answer. "Please!"
I turned around to see Marina watching me. Her head was at an angel and she just watched me. Almost in a mocking tone. I pressed my back against the door. "P-please. Don't hurt me. Like you hurt all those innocent people." Tears rolled down my cheeks and I started for the doorknob again. Everything started to get blurry with tears as I slid down the door and sat down. I banged my head against the door wanting this to be over with. "Please. J-just stop." A scream rang out from behind the door and I started banging on it.
"Is someone there!" I yelled. "Please help me!" I then heard the locks being unlocked and the doorknob started to turn. I backed away from the door almost slamming into Marina. Who was still staring at me with her crazy eyes.
Sally opened the door with wide eyes and open arms.
"Omigod. I finally found you!" I ran up to her but noticed something in the background. And awful familiar smell got stronger. I looked behind Sally and saw Katherine dead on the couch.
"Oh my god. No! Katherine!" Tears came back to my eyes. Faster this time. I ran to her side. And just looked into her cold, dead eyes. A choke like song came from behind me and I turned. But not fast enough. Both Sally and Marina were gone.
"G-guys?" I walked towards the closet but the smell of decaying bodies became too much to bare. I ran up the stairs to the first floor; giving Katherine one more look goodbye. I ran back to the first floor to see Toby, dead as well on the living room couch.
Then the murderer must be Sally. A high pitched laugh came from behind me. I turned to see Sally. The sweet round faced Sally looked back at me. But it wasn't the same Sally. She now looked more evil. More scary. More like a murderer know that I know.
"Why are you doing this?" I cried. "Why hurt us? What did we do to you?"
"It's all just a game. A game to see the last standing. I just had a little bit of an advantage by knowing the game existed." She stepped closer to me. Then pulled something out of her jacket. A gun. I stepped back. Tears running down my face. I shook my head again and again and again. This isn't happening. I imagined the whole thing. I should have never picked up the letter I should have never got into my car that night.
She lifted up the gun and pointed it to me. Within the same second she pulled the trigger. It hit me straight in the stomach and I fell to my knees; breathing my very last breath.I opened my eyes breathing hard. I looked around the room not knowing where I was. I tried to say something but nothing came out. A figure came over me. Someone I didn't recogni- it was my mom she widened her eyes and hugged me so tight I thought I was going to burst.
"M-mom?" U finally said.
"Oh sweetheart it's been so long since I heard your voice."
She looked so weak and upset. Like she just gave up.
"What happened? Where am I? I thought I died. She shot me!" My mom stepped back.
"Honey you got into car accident and went to an a coma over 5 YEARS ago. W-we we're going to pull the plug. No one thought you were going to make it. But you kept moving in your sleep. You even screamed last year. I had hope. I couldn't let you go." I stared at her.
"Your lying. What year is it?"
"2017. January 6th 2017." She said grabbing my hand.
"But I went to the mansion December 22nd 2011. It was just YESTERDAY!" I screamed not believing a word she was saying. My mom sank down to her knees and put her head on my hand.
"That was the day you got into your car accident. I am SO sorry." I looked down at where I was shot and gently touched my stomach. It didn't hurt. I got up and pulled out all the tubes and wires. Making the machines go crazy. I stepped into the hospital bathroom and looked at the mirror. My hair grew long but you can tell it's been trimmed. I looked older facial feature wise. It was obvious I aged a few years. She was right. It was all a dream.
