The final battle Part 1

Cory's POV

We were in some kind of base. It was like out old one and the kid had explained everything with a bit of help from Delaney.

When we had escaped from prison only four people got away. Sam, Camren, Delaney and Shelby. Shelby was caught almost an hour later that same day. The other three laid low. Sometime during that evil was spreading and the overlords had conquered a good chunk of earth.

Sam and Delaney became leaders for the rebillion and were all fir getting us free. Camren faded into the background. Delaney got caught soon after her 16th birthday and was locked away with us. Camren was caught a year or so later on Christmas when he was 17. No one knew about Sam.

During the years Camren got a girlfriend and a son. The son was given to innkeepers like in Le Mis except there was no John Val John to save him. At 12 he joined the fight against evil, enlisting in the rebillion.

A few years later he went looking for his dad and the other seven. He broke us out and lead us to this hideout.

"So what do we do now?" Sky asked.

"We prepare." Leo said.

"Tomorrow we avenge the ones who have fallen and we ensure the freedom of the ones who still stand." He said, a fire lighting in his eyes.

"That's suicide!" Jess suddenly yelled and Leo nodded.

"I'd rather die on my feet then live life on my knees." Jin whispered. Silence filled the room so thick you could cut it with a knife.

"Tomorrow we march." Ross said.

"For the ones who are gone." Shelby spoke.

"For the ones who still stand." Max said.

"And for those who will stand." Jess whispered.

"If we hang by our necks from the tree." Sky drawled.

"Let that light the fire in their eyes." Leo muttered.

"Let them come and learn the truth." Jin mumbled.

"As to what is right and what is wrong." Delaney half yelled.

"Give me liberty or give me death!" I screamed.

A deep voice cut through my story.

"Please Cory. I have other souls to judge let's make this snappy."

I nodded as I stood before the almighty man.

"Well this is where everything goes downhill." I said.
