A Different Point Of View (Izaya x OC)

In an empty school stairwell 2 students stood. One was a ravenette with piercing blue eyes and the other was a blonde. "Heiwajima-san do you intend to bully me again?" the ravenette asked her bully. The blonde chuckled darkly. "It's just annoying me to see your face," he started. "And to know you're friends with the flea doesn't help either." He picked up a nearby bar and swung it at her, knocking her to the ground. "You worthless piece of trash, why do you even bother with life?" he taunted. "You and that flea waste too much air." The girl's eyes stared blankly into the blonde's own. Suddenly he picked up the bar again and she began to tremble in fear, whispering the name to herself over and over. "Izaya," she whispered. "Please help me." The boy lifted the bar but was stopped when half of it was sliced off. Another ravenette appeared, this one armed with a switchblade. He stood protectively in front of the trembling girl. "My my Shizu-chan, it would seem you are hurting Kiko-chan again," he said, his expression deadly serious. It was unusual for Izaya not to be playful and teasing but here he was doing just that. "I told you my name is Shizuo Heiwajima! Not Shizu-chan," the blonde raged. He turned back find Izaya and the girl gone.

On the school rooftop the 2 sat, Izaya tending to the girl's wounds. "What did he do to you this time Kikyo?" Izaya asked, voice full of worry and concern. He usually called her Kiko instead of her full name but this was one of those rare times where he showed his gentle, kind side, a side of Izaya only Kikyo knew. "The usual, teasing, hitting, telling me to die," she replied. Izaya looked up. "There all done!" He said, a smile coming to his face. Kikyo smiled with him. Suddenly the doors to the roof burst open. Kikyo jumped into Izaya's arms in fear of it being Shizuo. Instead a familiar brunette walked onto the roof. "Don't do that Shinra," Izaya scolded the boy. "She thought you were Shizuo again." The 3 sat on the roof until the bell rang, signaling the end of school. They normally skipped the last 2 classes as Kikyo needed to recover from Shizuo's taunts and Izaya wouldn't let her out of his sight. Shinra sometimes joined them to help take care of any wounds Kikyo may have received. Graduation was in a week and after that Kikyo had to move to Kyoto. She didn't want to leave everyone but promised she would be back. Graduation Day came and Kikyo graduated as 2nd in the year. Shinra was 1st and Izaya came in 5th. They all said their goodbyes to Kikyo who knew she would see them again.
