And then my phone rang just as our lips brushed together. Damn it, I hate my phone. We were this close. Twice. Who has had their kiss interrupted twice? The second it rang we both jumped apart from each other awkwardly avoiding each other's gaze. I looked at my phone to see my Jace calling;

"Yea, Jace?" I said. I looked at Sterling to find his eyebrows raised as he stared at the stars.

"Alex, when are you getting home?" He was clearly worried. Even though I couldn't see him I could picture the frown etched on his forehead as he paced back and forth in the house.

I lightly laughed at the image, "I'll be home in 5 minutes. Stop being such a worry wart."

"I am not a worry wart." He defended probably pouting.

"You always have been and still are." I said smiling at my brother's childishness. I looked up to find Sterling staring and smiling at me.

"Ugh, whatever. Just get home and I'll stop being a worry wart. Alright?" He said in a stern voice.

"Alright, alright. Don't get your knickers in a twist, Mr. Worry wart." I said chuckling and waved to Sterling as I got in my car.

I thought about all the events that had occured tonight as I drove and I couldn't help the giant grin on my face. Once I got home I changed into my Phineas and Ferb pjs and went to bed.

I woke up at my usual time dreading getting out of my warm blanket but I had to get to school. So, I got up and dressed and went for breakfast.
Big mistake. Jace was back and was glaring at me with his watergun in hand and BLONDE hair. Yeah, you heard right. My brown haired brother now had dirty blonde hair and he looked so angry, I swear if looks could kill I'd be six feet under.

"Why are you blonde?" I asked trying really hard to control my laughter.

"Well, if you must know my stupid friends came last night to prank me and succeeded because my water gun was empty which it never is and then I found my favourite pair of jeans missing along with a white shirt. What did you do, Alex?" He said tapping his foot like he always did when he was frustrated.

I copied his tone, "Well, if you must know Logan stayed over the other night and he needed clothes in the morning. The water in the gun was used to defend myself when he tried to tickle me because I didn't give him any pancakes." I crossed my arms thinking I had won when I saw my brother's eyes widened and a frown on his face. I immediately face-palmed myself when I realized what I had said. I darted towards the door but before I could reach it he caught me.

"Who is he and why did he stay over?" He asked pulling me back in front of him.

First I denied it to which he gave me a blank expression meaning he wouldn't leave me alone until I gave him some answers. I sighed defeated, "Fine. He's a friend. A new one. Everyone had left and nobody was home so I invited him to watch some shows with me. After a few hours we fell asleep together."

Jace narrowed his eyes at me before smirking, "You like him." He said.

I gulped visibly, "What? No, no, no, no I don't. He-he's just a friend." I said furrowing my eyebrows and rubbing the back of my neck nervously.

He raised an eyebrow, "Alex, I'm you brother, you can't lie. I know you too well." I frowned knowing he was right. He lightly nodded before continuing, "Now, that that's settled. I want to meet him and tell him all about how he's not good enough to date my sister."
