Tao's POV
I woke up with the sun light hitting my face. I squinted my eyes and looked at the window seeing that the curtains were wide open. I thought i closed it last night?
I roamed my eyes in my room only to find a tall man arranging the scattered papers in my desk. Who the hell is this person?! I was about to shout at this so called 'stranger' when i realized what happend yesterday. He's my new butler that arrived yesterday -_- How could i forgot that?
"Good morning, young master. Your breakfast is ready, please come down in a minute after fixing yourself, your father wish to have a talk with you" Kris bowed and left the room. What does dad wanted to talk about?
After fixing myself, i went down and straight to the dining table where my dad is seated with a newspaper in his hands. I coughed which caught my dad's attention. He folded the newspaper and placed it beside his plate.
"What is it that you wanted to talk about?" I asked him while sitting down on one of the chairs.
"Well.. As you can see, I'm going to be really busy this coming month and probably we won't have the chance to see each other often" i playfully rolled my eyes.
"Just get to the point, dad"
My father sighed before continuing "Kris will be enrolled in your school so you'll have full security just in case something happens"
"That's not even surprising at all" i said bluntly; looking at my dad with bored eyes.
"And Kris will be by your side 24/7. In your room, dining, kitchen, maybe outside your bathroom or even in the garden. He will follow you everywhere you go unless it's a private thing" i quickly looked at dad with wide eyes. Did he just mentioned garden?! I gritted my teeth and glared at him while standing up.
"I'm not going to allow some stranger to hang around in mom's garden. That place is only for me and you! Dad, why would you allow that?!"
I shouted at him, letting all the anger out. Mom's garden is way too important for me, i won't let any stranger hang around or maybe play there. I even warned the maids and other butlers to not even take a step on that place. How could dad make a stupid decision?!
My dad also stood up, i can guess that he's not liking any of this. "Enough of your childish act! Kris will go wherever you are, even in the garden wether you like it or not! You already let him once right? Why don't you just let him whenever you're going there?"
"Firts of all, i didn't let him in, he let himself in without any of my permission! Second, we left there immediately and third, How the fuck did you know that?!"
"ZiTao! Your language!" Ugh. Damn it.
My dad pinched the bridge of his nose, clearly irritated. "My decisions are final. I have an important business to attend to so I'll be going now" before i could even protest on what he had said, dad walked away and quickly disappeared from my sight. Jeez. How important is that business anyway?
I slumped back at my chair and stared at the food for a while before starting to eat it. I'll be going back to school again. Homeworks and projects will be pestering me again but i guess i can say that I'm also a little excited about it. I got to see my friends again and have a little fun. A smile slowly formed in my face when i remember those times I'm with my friends goofing off and just having a good time. It was nice having friends. Especially when they are true to you.
My thoughts were interrupted when i heard footsteps, i looked at the direction on where the footsteps are coming and saw Kris standing with his usual poker face. Does this man even smile?
"Young master. School is coming in a few weeks, would you like me to accompany you while buying some new stuffs needed in school?" He's right. I need to buy new stuffs and school supplies so I'll be needing some help in carrying all of them. I nodded my head, sign of approval and stood up before walking out of the dining room going to my own room.
I stayed there for a while, thinking about these past few years. My past wasn't that nice at all but there is still some good memories in it. I sighed and run my hand through my blonde hair. One of my bad memories are when my mom died and the othee one was when he left me. Those were the times where i felt so empty and locked myself up in my room, not even my father could convince to go out just to even have a little fresh air.
I shook the thoughts away and began looking for a nice clothes to wear. We'll be going to the mall to buy some stuffs so might as well looked presentable in front of many people. Even though i don't care on what their thinking.
After a couple of minutes in finding a nice clothes, i just decided to wear a black ripped jeans and a gray v-neck shirt. I went in front of my mirror and began styling my hair before going down.
No one's POV
Tao went all over the house, casually asking some maids and servants to where his butler went but Tao got nothing. And soon, Tao was getting tired of walking around so he stop on his track, turning around and going to the living room to rest for a while.
Tao sat down on the couch, leaning his head while heaving a sigh. I thought he will be by my side 24/7?! Tao questioned in his mind.
And as if on cue, a low voice spoke behind that made him jump a little while clutching his chest. "I heard that you were looking for me, young master"
Tao glared at Kris before standing up, facing the tall man. The difference between their heights wasn't so big, Kris is just 3 inches taller than Tao.
"Hell yeah! I was looking for you all over the house! Where have you been?!" Tao asked in a irritated voice. Well you can't blame him, he's been searching for his butler for about 2 straight hours. Who wouldn't get irritated on that?
Kris bowed apologetically. "I'm sorry young master, i just fixed some matters in the basement" Tao rolled his eyes.
"Tsk. Just come with me, we'll be going to the mall to buy school supplies and I'll be needing your help"
