Nitaysha's POV

I knew Q had just lost his boy and all, but he was blowing me. He hadn't ate, slept, and kept me up all night. He just wrapped his hand around me rocked all night. I stayed there with Q cause he was my man, but i was confused when Q pulled up the hospital after he got the call about KeShon he had been around a girl. I just didn't know who. I knew about him and Dev taking frequent trips up to State, but to see Dev's girl. Didn't know Q had somebody up there he was clocking. I wasn't gonna bring it up now, but I was gone find out who she was. In the meantime, I had to pull Q together so we could get to this funeral.

"Quentin, get up now, and get dressed. You been laying here for 3 whole days. You haven't ate nor slept and you've been keeping me up all damn night, crying. I'm with you baby, I promise, but please pull it together for me."

I watched him just nod but he got up to get dressed, I had been rocking with Q since the 8th grade and I had never seen this side of him. It was a total shock to me. I gave Q a few minutes and he was ready. He looked good, I had to admit. I walked out the door looking damn good too , to be going to a funeral. I had on some Christian Dior sandals, with tight fitting black dress that fit my shape perfectly, and frames to match my sandals. I was flawless and made sure of that. When we got to the church I went and had word with my girl Ke'shauna. She was KeShon's sister. She was sitting there, just staring at the casket. I could tell she had been crying. I slid in behind my girl and she gave me a hug, she really did look like she was going through it.

"They gone find out who did this girl don't even stress it."
She just looked at me.

"Tay, all I wanted was for my brother to be somebody, But all he wanted to do was chase after Malik, Devin, and Quentin."

I just looked down, she was right. KeShon had got accepted into Tulsa University for football on a scholarship, but he decided to stay back, hell they all stayed back. Same with Devin and Malik, they all had scholarships and deals to schools but stayed back. I couldn't tell you if it was to serve the pack on the block, or what. But they all stayed back and been sitting on the porch making money, every since. Don't think Q had asked them to give up their future for them, but they did and they would do it all over again, that was the sad thing.

"I know girl, I know." Was all I could say. She was right all of them had this sick type of friendship, where the all followed behind Q or more like after Q. He was the boss, the call he made, meant a lot. They lived like that and would die by that to. The funeral had started and Q and I sat on opposite sides of the front row. I looked toward the door and saw Dev's girl Nisha walk in, I was surprised she had came, I was surprised at the girl she had with her though. I hadn't ever seen this girl before. I watched Q from where I was sitting get up and walk toward Nisha and the real pretty dark skin girl. My girl Kinah tapped my leg because we peeped the same thing.

"You better get up, and go over there." She whispered to me pushing back up her sun glasses.

And that's exactly what I did.

"Q, you okay?" I asked tapping his shoulder.

"Oh hey, baby."

I hugged him, "you good?"

"Yea, I'm fine. I was just telling Nisha and Fah'Syrah here how happy I am to see they could take a break from school, and come help us bury my boy."

The girl smiled at him, the crazy thing is she was looking at him like I looked at him. She had this glare at him, that I had. I knew how Q rocked. I knew this all to well.

"Hey, Nitaysha," Nisha spoke up, "This is my girl Fah'Syrah, Fah'Syrah this Nitaysha, Q's girlfriend."

I saw the wheels were turning in her head once Nisha said girlfriend.

"Well you guys the service is about to start, how about we all have a seat. Nisha, you guys come to the front. You know you family." Q invited them up there. I wasn't feeling this. Nisha I could understand her and Dev had been messing around for a minute but this other chick I wasn't feeling. We sat through the funeral service and honestly I couldn't pay attention to what Reverend Watkins was saying because Q and this girl were sitting side by side, I know I should have went over there and sat with my man, but I was sitting with my girl keeping her solid through this whole thing. I walked outside and saw Q, Dev, and Malik smoking a black and talking.

"What y'all talking about?"

I saw Q look at Dev and Malik and they walked away.

"We know who did it, and we gone ride on em real quick."

I knew this was coming, and I was gone try my best to stop it.

"This ain't the day, this ain't the time Q. You already got so much shit going on. You know the cops are watching you because of your activities with Joe don't go out here and fuck up, what ima do with out you?"

"Look Ima be back home tonight and its gone be quick, I promise. It's just some niggas that right there off Fayette. I just wanna see wussup with them."

"I know what your wussup means, and this ain't the time."

I saw the look in his eyes, determination. He had already made up in his mind, he was riding out tonight and I couldn't stop him if I wanted too.
